I need to explain a couple things before we get too far along. First: This has nothing to do with a Hobart mixer. I just put Hobart in the title to capture people looking for their larger mixers! Second: I listed this as"for parts or not working" because I do not know if it works and I am unable to test it because I do not have access to 3 phase power. You may just need to put a new plug on it and it may work just fine or the motor may be blown. I just do not know. I purchased it at a liquidation auction of a restaurant supply business that went under. It was sitting in the back and not on the showroom floor. I do not know if it was in for repair or was a trade in on a new mixer or what. They are over $21.000 new here on eBay, Amazon and ckitchen with a $34,000 new retail price(they won’t let me include a link to it but just look ... moreit up) These are not the cheap Chinese Hobart knockoffs but made in the USA with parts from Denmark. It is a monster and is about 6 1/2' tall. It weighs about 1.300 lbs. Even if it does need $1,000 in repairs it would still be a steal at a fraction of the cost of a new one or even a used Hobart 140qt. It is in really good shape visually except the wear on the face plate above the"on" indicator light. Sorry there is no bowl or attachments. Third: I listed it as local pickup only because it would be $800-$1300 to have it freight shipped. It is still strapped to my trailer(sorry that is also why I was unable to get any good pictures at a distance) and I would consider delivering it within a 150mi radius of Orange County. CA. for $1.00/mi round trip(you would have to come pay for it and the delivery cost before I drove it out to you) Sorry also no Paypal on local pickups. I had a fine gentleman buy something from me and asked if he could pick it up because he was local. I said sure. This is a Hobart 140 quart V1401 mixer. Serial number 31-1117-540. We are upgrading to a larger mixer size and no longer need this unit. It is in good used condition and has an new clutch and all new belts($1800 parts and repair) It is currently in use at our bakery in Mount Juliet, TN. We use it to mix a variety of batters including cake, cheesecake, brownie, and pie. We also mix some soft doughs(no bread) and crusts. It was last painted in November 2013 with an industrial grade metal paint. It has been well maintained by our maintenance technician and is ready to go to work. We have 2 Hobart Legacy's HL1400N that we purchased from a major wholesale grocer. These mixers were in full working capacity at the time of purchase. The original supermarket chain owner purchases new equipment when changing locations. You will get the 140qt mixer along with the 140 qt adapter ring to accomodatee an 80qt bowl. This will include 1- 140 qt bowl and 1- 80qt bowl. NO Attachments included. And then only daily during a lunch program…if that! Not 24/7 as in a commercial bakery. The mixer is close to new in use and appearance. We have done nothing to it in regards to repair. The cover has been removed and a flash picture provide here to attest to its slight use…it appears new. As seen in the photos. Paint chipping around the legs from the bowl dolly, some paint chips and scratches is all that show use. Otherwise you would not know this from new in its performance and operation.
