When we went to pick this chopper/cutter/mixer up we had the oppurtunity to speak with the head chef and he said this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer was only used 20 times and was used for a back up to another hcm that they had. Then it was put in a air conditioned warehouse and that is where it has spent all of its life. This unit is in excellent condition! YOU CAN NOT GET A NICER MACHINE UNLESS YOU BUY BRAND NEW FROM HOBART. The head chef and class instructor also mentioned they thought the school payed approx. $12.000.00- $13,000.00 for this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer. When we picked this chopper up we noticed some scratches in the tank and the instructor told us a student left a 1/4 ounce measuring spoon inside the tank and turned the chopper on. So that is how the scratches got there and also the metal s-blades had some nicks on the blades on them so the school ordered 2 brand blades and had them installed. This auction is for a Stephan Vertical Cutter Mixer. This was used at a pizza shop until just a few months ago. When the shop closed down. The unit needs cleaned, and we will clean it up as soon as we have water turned on at the shop. When I looked on the manufacturer plate. It said that the model was 3086. I believe that this means that it is a 30 quart unit. Models for newer ones are something like vcm 40 for a 40 qt, and vcm 25 for a 25 qt. It come with a mixing blade, which has one of the two fins. I bought this in December thinking we could use it for making large batches of almond butter. But it requires 3 phase power. And I just couldn't figure out how to get that set up. I'm told it functions perfectly, but I haven't been able to test it; sold as is. Local pickup preferred, this thing is HEAVY. If you really want to have it shipped, we can figure that out, but it's bound to be expensive.

Today for sale is a hobart VCM- 450 vertical mixer. It was in use a while back but the store had closed and we purchased this from the sale. It looks to be functional but we cannot test the unit as we do not have 3phase to hook it up to. But overall really clean. Has the wheels which is a 150+ add on. Has some blades inside but not sure if it's all there. The side casing for the switch has been cracked and attempted repair it looks. And the top lid has a crack in it.
