When we went to the school's warehouse where this has been stored for a few years we had the chance to sit down and talk with the head manintence tech. at the warehouse and he mentioned this mixer was only used for 3 years and then it was stored in the air conditoned warehouse for the last 4 years where we picked the mixer up from. This is an interesting one! I am told that this is a Hobart S601. There is no identifying plate that I can find to verify that. I am also told that this was used in a school and was working a few months ago but since I have not tried it out I am selling it as non-working. It appears by the wiring to be phase 1. As you can see by the photos this is easily 50+ years old and still has the original paint and Hobart Tag. This would look great restored in the front window of a bakery/candy shop. The bowl lift works(could use a little lube) and the chrome shroud above the mixer spindle has been dented(see picture#8) Please ask any questions.
