It is older but still in great condition for its age. It has only had 1 owner its whole life and they have never had any problems with it. It has been tested and is fully functional. It will come with the 2 attachments and 5qt bowl you see in the photos. This nice Hobart has only had 1 owner and was purchased new by her many years ago. She used it in her little cookie shop. She has taken pretty good care of it and has never had any problems with it. It does show some signs of use. But don't let that fool you, there is nothing wrong with it and it works great. All 3 speeds work as they should with no problems. I know some of these you can change the speed while its running, but this one you can not. You have to pick the speed you want before turning it on. The lever to raise the bowl works nice and smooth also. I don't know what the maintance is on these mixers. What that it involves, but since I don't know the maintance history on this machine I would recommend getting it checked or lubed even though it works just fine. Just as a precaution to keep it running nicely. It will only be shipped UPS. There is NO internatonal sales on this item due to its size and weight. Thank you. This auction is for a Hobart C-100 industrial/commercial food mixer. It includes a 10-qu art stainless steel bowl and whisking attachment. The mixer is in good condition and works great. I t has some minor surface rust in places. Near the feet and where the bowl sits. The rust could be easily polished off, and it could use a new paint-job. The mixer runs quietly in all three speeds. Th e bowl raises and lowers when the lever is pulled. And it clicks into place when it is all the way up. The base probably had screw-in rubber feet at one time. But they are missing. The whisker is well used; it has some surface rust on the tines. And a couple of the tines are missing. Attachments for these mixers are easily found. Hobart N50 Commercial Restaurant Mixer with bowl, wire whip, beater Made In USA
Vintage Hobart N-50 commercial mixer in good working condition. All three speeds work as they should and run smoothly. The only noticeable flaws are a missing carriage thumb screw. A screw missing on the bottom, and the dent which is pictured. After running the mixer for about 5-10 minutes on each speed I ran my finger along the motor housing and noticed a small amount of oil had collected on the bottom(see last photo) It was a very small amount of oil(not dripping) and could be just old oil that was heated up but apparently leaks are common with these older mixers. The 5 quart bowl is pretty scratched up and has a small dent at the bottom. I noticed some rust spots on the wire whip and it needs to be cleaned. The beater is in excellent condition.This was purchased at a thrift store so I do not know the history of this machine or how long ... moreit has been stored. I would probably have it serviced before putting it back in heavy use. I have no experience with these mixers but have tried to describe it to the best of my knowledge. This is the fairly rare Model'H' electric mixer from Kitchenaid. This Model was introduced in 1924 and was the first machine to bear the logo for this company. This is a 110 volt. Commercial size mixer with probably a 7 plus quart capacity. This has two turning arms, with a heavy 1/10 hp motor. This machine probably dates to the late 1920s/early'30s, and weighs in at about 85 pounds. This measures 26 1/2 in. tall with a 14 in. head unit. This includes an original Mixing bowl and whisk attachment. This has some wear: the handle for the speed lever is broken off and the metal on it is deteriorating/there is overall wear from time to the original finish-the power cord and likely the brushes have been replaced somewhere along the way. I need to explain a couple things before we get too far along. First: This has nothing to do with a Hobart mixer. I just put Hobart in the title to capture people looking for their larger mixers! Second: I listed this as"for parts or not working" because I do not know if it works and I am unable to test it because I do not have access to 3 phase power. You may just need to put a new plug on it and it may work just fine or the motor may be blown. I just do not know. I purchased it at a liquidation auction of a restaurant supply business that went under. It was sitting in the back and not on the showroom floor. I do not know if it was in for repair or was a trade in on a new mixer or what. They are over $21.000 new here on eBay, Amazon and ckitchen with a $34,000 new retail price(they won’t let me include a link to it but just look ... moreit up) These are not the cheap Chinese Hobart knockoffs but made in the USA with parts from Denmark. It is a monster and is about 6 1/2' tall. It weighs about 1.300 lbs. Even if it does need $1,000 in repairs it would still be a steal at a fraction of the cost of a new one or even a used Hobart 140qt. It is in really good shape visually except the wear on the face plate above the"on" indicator light. Sorry there is no bowl or attachments. Third: I listed it as local pickup only because it would be $800-$1300 to have it freight shipped. It is still strapped to my trailer(sorry that is also why I was unable to get any good pictures at a distance) and I would consider delivering it within a 150mi radius of Orange County. CA. for $1.00/mi round trip(you would have to come pay for it and the delivery cost before I drove it out to you) Sorry also no Paypal on local pickups.
