The only marking on it says "Hadley", but I've never been able to find any information ... moreon it, or one like it anywhere. In the last photo I've given measurements. It has a 2" center hole and appears to be right for an 8" swing as it measures 4" from the base to the center of the hole. I don't think it ever saw much use as the brass bits show little wear. Clearly, the thumb screws I used aren't really correct for this, but they were handy. I'm hoping someone has just the lathe for this.

LOGAN 9" METAL LATHE 8 & 9" STEADY REST
Description: PLEASE READ COMPLETE LISTING FOR INFORMATION ON THIS! Here's a Logan 9" Steady Rest that came with a lathe we purchased. It matches and fits a logan 9-B-28-1 metal lathe but it was originally made for a 8" metal lathe. This has a spacer block pined to it to make it fit the 9" logan. Not sure what it originally came off of. Possibly an older 8" south bend lathe but not sure. The original casting measurement is 2 5/8" from the center of the V to the center of the flat on the other side. the V looks to be 5/16" deep on the original casting. Possibly a South Bend since it has the single V-and one flat for the mounting. Comes with both rollers and a new set of brass jaws. The rests and rollers are used, but in good condition. South Bend 16"x54" Metal Lathe 3&4 Jaw Steady Rest Gunsmith
Used South Bend 16"X54" metal lathe with tooling. Powered by 230v 3 phase. Acessories and tooling: 8" 3 Jaw chuck. 10" 4 Jaw chuck, lantern toolpost, steady rest, original thread dial, amd chip pan. The lathe has some dinges, scratches and minor dents. The ways look average, minor lip, with some scratches. The backlash is about 1/4 turn compound and 1/2 turn on crossfeed. The power feed and threading work fine. Lathe runs fine and all functions seem to work good. The belt cover, and the bolt tray are cracked. The tailstock lock handle has been brazed and it is missing a few oil cups. Spindle is threaded. The lathe has been repainted. It has a new drive belt.
