HARDINGE CHUCKER HC with TRAV-A-DIAL
HARDINGE HC chucker that we did a lot of work on. SN HC-3374-L. We installed new upper and lower spindle belts and tuned the drive with a tachometer. We also centered the drive correctly. Machine runs smooth and speed shifts well. The stop dogs for the 3 speeds and the forward-reverse dog were repaired so it feels good when shifting. We also removed all the contactors and polished the contacts so all shifting and speeds run smooth! That is a lot of work which most of these old machines need including the later models. Coolant pumps runs good. This machine comes with a TRAV-A-DIAL for the carriage. Machine moves all the way to the right smoothly so doesn't seem to have excessive. Way wipers are okay. Cross slide works well and table indexes good. This machine has many years of service left in it. AND PRICE IS RIGHT! Included is a full ... moretop plate of holders and some 5C collets. Upon installing new belts we now notice some mild bearing noise which is pretty standard for new belts. Feed control for X and Z works well. Spindle nose is 2 3/16-10 threads std for Hardinge. 230 volt 3 phase speeds 3 from 125-3000. Includes an operators manual and maintenance manual and master electrical print.
