You can see how clean it is. I have never used any cutting oils on it so it is not an oily mess. I literally used it in my spare bedroom for many years. Since I have a workshop now I have room to have a larger lathe set up permanently. Note the many parts and accessories that are included. T here is a brand new carbide lathe cutter bit included. It still has the wax on the tip. The post and geared handle make it convertible to a desktop milling machine are included. There are also some parts included to cut threads. I have never done it and do NOT know if all needed parts are present to cut threads. If you want to use it to cut threads you are on your own for that. There is an extra tailstock. 3 jaw chuck and a non-centering 4 jaw chuck. I am not sure what some of the items are for even after over 20 years so I surely don't need them now! There are parts for the Unimats on eBay- pretty much whatever you want including belts can be bought. Take a good look at the photos. What you see is what you get. Nothing more and nothing less. 4-16-13 Update- It was brought to my attention that a left side bracket was not shown in the original photos. I have found the bracket. 2 new photos were just added as well. With all these parts it is ready to work! This is possibly a 40+ year old machine. It is AS IS WHERE IS. For sale is a bench top motor mount for Southbend and other metal Lathes. It is set up for the V-belt type as shown in the photos. It is used and has evidence of use. But it looks useable. It only comes as shown in the photo no extra pieces, also the oil caps appear to be missing and the entire cup could be replaced if that is important to you. I did notice one ding in the large flat wheel but does not appear to affect the performance. It is old. Therefore sold with no returns- it is heavy made of cast iron which is reflected in the shipping price.

It has a Mongomery Ward Powr-Kraft 120 volt 1/3hp reversible motor that works. I tested the lathe before removing it from the bench it was on and everything seemed to work fine. For sale is a nice pair of Electric motor mounts. You bolt them to the bench and you can adjust your electric motor belt tension by sliding the motor on these guides. They are good quality cast iron, they are very old and somewhat greasy from sitting in a machine shop for years.
