Please measure the size of Chuck's D1 before process your back plates. The size of back plates's D1 should be a little bit smaller than the size of Chuck's D1. Because the gap between back plate and chuck is smaller. Chuck's TIR is better. No gap is the best. You would not need to drill any mounting holes but you will need to turn the shoulder down.040" to match the back of the lathe chuck to make the chuck& back plate more concentric with the lathe spindle. When turning the shoulder of the backing plate. ONLY TURN THE SHOULDER OF THE BACKING PLATE WHEN ATTACHED TO THE LATHE SPINDLE. I am selling an Atlas/Craftsman 6" Lathe Gear Cover identified in the Parts List as part# 3950-10 GUARD+KNOB ASSY. This cover is used but is in excellent condition without any damage. This cover is for the newer MARK II versions of the Atlas 6" Lathes that were sold as ATLAS-CRAFTSMAN Lathe Models 3950. 10100, and 101.21200. This cover is rey in color and matches the Grey Mark II version Version but will also fit on the Blue model Mark II.

This guard is intact but has 2 cracks each about 3" long. There is a splint holding the cover together and when I flex it it seems secure. ATLAS CRAFTSMAN 6" METAL LATHE HEADSTOCK SPINDLE 383-020 1"-10 10100
This is the complete headstock off of an Artlas 10100 6" lathe. The bearings are nice and tight. There is some minor scarring on the end of the shaft but it should not cause any issues. The pulleys came off nice and clean and are in another of my auctions if you wish to take a look. Other that that it is a shown in the pictures. Thanks for looking.

Here is a milling attachment with drawbar. Two milling bits one of which came with the lathe. has 1/2" holder in the draw bar and a 3/8" bushing to adapt. Includes the vise jaws also. Up for auction today is a nice condition headstock assembly for a 6" Atlas 10100. 10200 or a 3950 lathe. It has 1"10 threads on the spindle. This unit is complete and in great working condition. The only problem is that the ball was broken off the reverse tumbler. The gears and pulley are in great shape.
