What you are viewing is an original Antique Burrows Equipment/ J.G. Zett Seed.Grain Probe Tester,Sampler Set with there original Leather Sleeves. Pieces have some wear and aging to the sections and the leather sleeves but all displays well for there age. Some of the metal testers have rust and patina to the metal. Largest piece is a little squished on the top but could be repaired with the proper mandril and rubber mallet if you wish. top section has the name Burrows Equipment but the other two sections have G.J. Zett so I am unsure if its 2 sets that someone made into one but is still a great collection. Set measures 1 1/2in X 1 3/4in X 11 1/8in and is a nice displayable size. Vintage Seedboro Quality 1912 Brass 8 Slot 50" Grain Seed Probe Seed Sampler for Farm Elevator Semi-trailer testing Oats. Corn, Wheat, Etc. Seedboro Equipment Company is also on the name plate. The 1912 is on the bottom right hand corner of name plate. Each slot measures 3 1/2" The outer sleeve has a slot that must be aligned in order to take inner sleeve out. The probe measures 1 3/8" in diameter. This unit is free turning and in good clean working condition. Probe has brass turning knob and point is thick double strength brass. Real sharp display unit.

If you bounce the tool on a wooden floor, the top knob will go up and down, but I cannot get the inner tube to rotate. There are some plier marks in the bronze to indicate someone tried.
