Beautiful Late1800s Deering Harvesting Machinery Trade Card Dogs Tug Turkey Farm
Late 1800s Farm Machinery Advertising Card This advertising card for farm machinery dates to the late 1800s. And has colored illustrations on both sides. The company is Wm Deering& Co, of Chicago, makers of harvesting machinery. There are several dogs depicted on the card, with one stamped“Deering” and the others stamped“Competitor. The dogs are engaged in a contest to get a turkey, and after they all tug on the turkey, the Deering dog emerges as the winner– the one who“takes the turkey. The card shows a good bit of wear, and would present beautifully with other primitive items. On one side there are four circles of wear– one in each corner– probably from being in a scrapbook. There is one circle like this on the other side. Along with a glue spot nearby. Two corners are torn. Some other creasing, fairly light for the most part. Some ... morepenlike marks or stains here and there, handling wear, some soiling. Again. Condition issues of note: Several circular worn areas. Probably from being in a scrapbook. Two torn corners. Here we have a Minneapolis- Moline advertising piece. Advertizing the UNI-FARMOR. This tin piece was made to hold possibly a broom handle and also has two hooks for other items. Maybe you collectors know more about what it was designed to hold. The yellow back part measures 2" wide X 2 1/2" tall. A little bit of rust as can be seen in the photos.

In preparing the clock for sale other than the face nothing required replacement. Overall the clock is in excellent condition as it runs well. Lights up, is clean, is quiet and maintains accurate time as expected. Other than the normal scratches from normal aging this clock would be in mint condition. 24" x 18" real highway road sign in good used condition. This sign has a double scratch on the upper right hand corner about 8" long other than that it is in nice condition.
