Vintage Primitive Cattle Electric Fence Controller
Here is an old primitive lookIng Electric Fence control box I found in an old barn. It has no manufacture markings or anything to show its age. It could be a homemade piece. Produced out of 5/8" plywood which has an old primitive look. Plywood is chipped. Faded, warped and dirty. Has a small 4" steel handle on top. Has an old frayed cord coming out of one end and 2 electric connections on the other side with a small light bulb. Inside there is an electric motor that produces the charge. Weighs around 10 pounds. Up for bid is a International Electric Fence Company Model 106 electric fence control box. It shows some wear to the outside with rust and some dents but its actually in good condition. The black splatter paint finish is original and done over a layer of silver paint. If you remove the trim rings around the light bulb lenses. You will see the original finish as bright and clean as it was new. The red and green lenses are in great shape and even have the original cork gaskets to keep moisture away from the light bulb sockets. The porcelain insulator posts are not cracked or chipped and all 3 have the original wing nuts on them. The power cord looks original to the box but i can't be 100% sure. It won't do anything when plugged into the wall and turned on but i think with some work. It could be repaired and be a functioning unit with ... morethe lights working. It can also be made into a neat piece of wall art since it already has 2 wall hanging straps. It measures 11" x 8 1/2" x 7"

12Heavy Duty Porcelain Corner Insulator Electric fence/vintage Western Electric
Offered is a lot of twelve(12) heavy duty insulators with bracket and pin. Perfect for use with electric fencing. These were originally used at the beginning and end of telephone open wire lead. They were built to last and have an extremely heavy gauge steel bracket that in addition has a very heavy galvanized coat. The insulator is approximately two inches in diameter and has a 5/16 inch pin that can be removed by removing the clip(shown in photograph) Originally these were attached to a telephone cross arm with a carriage bolt, for most electric fence application a lag bolt would do. No attaching hardware is included(carriage bolts or lag bolts) with this offering. Measurements are as follows: Steel bracket: 2" x 1 1/2" x 2 3/4 inches tall Insulator: 2" diameter x 1 3/4" wide Steel locking pin: 5/16 diameter pin x approx. ... more2 3/4" long Combined Bracket/ insulator measurement: 3 1/4" top to bottom height of protrusion when mounted on pole. This is a rare find. Don't let get away from you. This is an made in America product. I am a retired telephone worker and salvaged these from a open wire toll removal job over 35 years ago. I had a farm at the time and had planned to build an electric fence, never got that far and have moved these with me ever since. Some of these insulators are hardware are older than me. When these were made they didn't look at it as a short term fix, these were truly made to last a couple lifetimes. I cannot believe none of the metal parts have any sign of rust. I have personally looked at everyone of these insulators and removed any that have chips in them. As a testamate to how these hold up 95% of these are damage free.
