Offered is a lot of twelve(12) heavy duty insulators with bracket and pin. Perfect for use with electric fencing. These were originally used at the beginning and end of telephone open wire lead. They were built to last and have an extremely heavy gauge steel bracket that in addition has a very heavy galvanized coat. The insulator is approximately two inches in diameter and has a 5/16 inch pin that can be removed by removing the clip(shown in photograph) Originally these were attached to a telephone cross arm with a carriage bolt, for most electric fence application a lag bolt would do. No attaching hardware is included(carriage bolts or lag bolts) with this offering. Measurements are as follows: Steel bracket: 2" x 1 1/2" x 2 3/4 inches tall Insulator: 2" diameter x 1 3/4" wide Steel locking pin: 5/16 diameter pin x approx. ... more2 3/4" long Combined Bracket/ insulator measurement: 3 1/4" top to bottom height of protrusion when mounted on pole. This is a rare find. Don't let get away from you. This is an made in America product. I am a retired telephone worker and salvaged these from a open wire toll removal job over 35 years ago. I had a farm at the time and had planned to build an electric fence, never got that far and have moved these with me ever since. Some of these insulators are hardware are older than me. When these were made they didn't look at it as a short term fix, these were truly made to last a couple lifetimes. I cannot believe none of the metal parts have any sign of rust. I have personally looked at everyone of these insulators and removed any that have chips in them. As a testamate to how these hold up 95% of these are damage free. Insulators were originally installed for cattle but were removed after only 2 years to provide for horse fencing. The insulators have a manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. The only thing wrong with these insulators are some minor scratches(if any) and some dust. All are fully functional and were inspected before packaging. They are boxed loose.
