This is a 12 volt fence charger that runs off a car or RV battery. A small solar panel will keep it charged and always working out in the field with no electrical connection to the power grid needed. It clicks about once per second with a huge voltage zap that will surely wake you up if you are touching the fence. It keeps the livestock in and the predator dogs out. After being zapped once the animals learn to recognize the clicking sound when it is turned on and know not to challenge the fence. It was used for about a year with our sheep and works great. It is used but in full working order. We had about 2 miles of fence charged and it burned off the weeds that would grow up to touch the wires.
