PARMAK 12-VOLT BATTERY Fence Charger MAG. 12 U.O. Works great!
This is a 12 volt fence charger that runs off a car or RV battery. A small solar panel will keep it charged and always working out in the field with no electrical connection to the power grid needed. It clicks about once per second with a huge voltage zap that will surely wake you up if you are touching the fence. It keeps the livestock in and the predator dogs out. After being zapped once the animals learn to recognize the clicking sound when it is turned on and know not to challenge the fence. It was used for about a year with our sheep and works great. It is used but in full working order. We had about 2 miles of fence charged and it burned off the weeds that would grow up to touch the wires. The specs say it has a 30 mile range with wet weeds but that is with a fully charged up battery. It is waterproof and goes right outdoors next to ... morethe fence and the battery. If 2 of your wires are touching it will arc with a large loud spark that you can hear from a long ways away. That way you know where to go fix the fence.

This is a great old fence charger my Dad used on the farm when we where kids. It uses a 6 volt battery for power and the last time it was used was 2003 in his garden to keep critters out.
