This is a 2004 XMT 304 300 Amp Welding Machine. I purchased it on ebay not long ago because i didn't understand that the 304 line has several Phased Machines and styles. This specific Machine is 3 Phase only! It is too exspensive to convert it over to Single phase. However you can buy a Transformer box for Single Phase to convert it to 3 phase power for the machine, it's called a Phase Converter, however i suspect this would be too much for me and something that could mess up and cost as much as the machine to repair in the future. However, This machine does work with exact output Current and Voltage as it reads, which means it's not been abused over the Duty Cycle and holds a constant voltage and current for good welds. Just to be Certain about this I took it to Modern Supply to a guy there that works on welders in their Repair ... moreShop and he's been in Buisiness since 1982. I am selling it because one day while welding it just stopped feeding wire. I checked it's breakers and all good. Up for auction is a Linde brand mig welder. It is 220V single phase. I've had it for 6 years and never used it since I mostly use a stick welder. But more than that. I don't have a CO2/Argon tank or regulator, so it's been sitting around taking up a lot of space that I need cleared. It's one of those things were I got excited and bought it from a guy, but shouldn't have since I really don't need it. The brand is Linde which was bought out by Esab years ago. I think this welder was built in the early'80s. The closest I've come to using this is plugging it in and pulling the trigger on the Tweco gun. The wire feed system works great. I don't have the manual but from what I've read online this welder is more of a"set it and forget it" model. Where you set it up to do one specific welding task ... morerather than changing the settings for various jobs. So if you do a bunch of the same welding projects this might be for you. It also comes with two large spools of wire and two packs of welding tips. I really want to sell this since it's taking up to much space in a crowded workshop.
