Miller Maxstar 150 STL tig welder includes extras!
We bought this machine last year and have only used it a handful of times. Works as a Miller tig should. Includes everything shown. Tig torch, ground, regulator, foot pedal and few extra collets, collet bodies and cups. The plug for the foot pedal was somehow cracked but it still works fine. You could replace this easily with the new part from a Miller distributor.

Miller Maxstar TIG & STICK Welder (140, 150 STL, 200)
Up for sale is my Miller Maxstar 140 STICK/TIG welder. It is my money maker and is super portable. Its a Miller. Enough said on quality and performance. I am the second owner(first used it in his garage door repair service, always kept it inside, never dropped) and am selling it because I bought a different welder for welding roll cages. This welder will weld from 5 to 140 amps and will run on a standard 115v or 230v outlet(it automatically senses the voltage, I have a plug adapter, see pics) It is based on newer inverter technology so it uses less power, and has a smoother feel to the welds. SMAW(STICK WELDING) will burn 1/8 rod all day long. Have welded BBQ's. Bumpers, tow hitches, and trailers with it on stick mode. Best for rusty/dirty metal/outdoors. Ground in( Electrode holder in(+) flip switch to stick mode. GTAW(TIG Welding) just ... moreflip a switch to lift-arc. And put the Electrode holder in( and the ground in(+) then connect the electrode holder to the tig torch adapter and you are ready to TIG weld, which is my favorite. All you do is, turn the argon valve on the torch, then touch the tungsten of the tig torch to the metal and lift up a little, and the welder will automatically start the arc(Lift-Arc) I have welded stainless steel sinks, kegs, fabricated brush guards, fixed cracked exhaust manifolds, wrought iron benches, installed turbo waste gates, and fixed up go karts with TIG welding. As you get the puddle going, you add filler rod as you go along and the weld looks like a stack of dimes! Due to that fact we are going to sell this unit. The Maxstar worked excellent for the stainless steel hand rail that we installed. We ran the unit off of 110V power and were impressed with it. The Maxstar was used in a carpeted office that was nearly complete and didn't get dirty. Dropped, sparked, or hauled in the back of truck. Miller Maxstar 150 STL Tig welder in excellent condition. This welder has not been used very much. I have done some stick welding with it and a few small tig jobs. It does a really good job Tig welding stainless steel. It is a great welder. Very light and portable. It is set up to run on 120v but can also run on 240v. The welder has a few scratches on it from normal use, but I have always stored it in the case. The consumable kit is new, with nozzles and different size tungsten rods. Model number shows its from 2011 on Miller's website(ref chart) Rated for 3/16 weld thickness but I have welded much thicker(tig) I have also run 6010(3/32& 1/8) with this before with excellent results. When in a pinch. Foot pedal is extremely responsive and accurate. Machine can also tig at a set amperage(with no pedal) I have welded razor blades on the low end. Mild steel& stainless plate at 3/8 at upper end as well as 3/4 solid mild steel round stock. Mainly used for tig in sanitary stainless work. Custom exhaust work, sheet metal fab and roll cage fab(some stick work on customer selected cages/ repairs) Has been used for different stick welding jobs on both 110& 220. Performs ... moreexcellent with both(mainly 70xx series rods) This is an extremely versatile welder in excellent condition with everything but argon/ rods to start welding. Arc is smooth for both tig and stick. As stated I have used even 6010 when in a pinch with great success however the machine is not said to be able to(I have spoken with miller tech on the phone. Attempting/ using 6010 will not harm it. 6010 is a high conductance rod and the machine can't keep up well. I am selling broken Miller maxster 150 STL welder. As you can see from the pictures. It has many signs of us and scratches. Wellder was broken during the welding and No power. Welder made pop sound and no power. I opend cover and checked circuit board. Circuit board was burnt around standby section. I replaced 1M0680R transistor which is for switching mode power drive part. After replacing the part. Welder power on, but no output to +, terminal. As you can see from the picture#5. Right side LED lamp blinks when power is on. I do not want to spend time anymore. I am selling this item ASIS for Parts. No return and refund. Included items What you can see is what you get.
