Shakespeare Cat-Stik spincast reel, Heavy Duty Large Strong Reel
Up for auction is a large. Heavy duty spincast reel. It is name a Shakespeare Cat-Stik. I was not able to find out very much about this reel. I got it in a lot of reels I purchased just to get one reel I wanted. It is quite large for a spincaster and is very well made. It weighs just under a pound and is spooled with factory 20 lb test line. The drag is very smooth and the anti-reverse works properly. This will be a great reel for fishing for giant catfish, as it was clearly designed to do. A lot of guys here in North Florida like these big spincasters for Nightfishing because they rarely tangle up. This reel need a stout rod to realize its potential. Early Vintage Zebco 33 spinner reel model 33 Stainless Steel made in USA
More goodies from Grandpa's garage. This Zebco 33 is one of the earliest versions with the all stainless steel housings and other metal components. Grandpa had taken the reel apart for cleaning. I put the casings back on. Bench tested it, and it appears to work perfect. The only flaw is the missing black handle on the crank. Please note this. Otherwise this item is great. Fishing Up for consideration is a vintage Airex Eldorado No.1 spincasting reel made in the USA. This is a nice little reel that functions flawlessly with all operations checked. Cosmetically the reel is striking with a nice anodized gold finish. The reel is in excellent condition with only some minor scratches and some grease staining along the seems of the case that can be cleaned with a little effort. Despite the identified cosmetic flaws.
