If you've been looking for a set like this. You found the right one. This is the one with the gorgeous gold reel that was Made in Seiko, Japan, as you can see in the photos, it is in fantastic condition. I put a dollar bill next to the set, so you can see how small and compact this set is and you can use it because there is even a tackle box inside that holds your hooks and lead weights. There is a new 6-lb line that I just installed and I put a small vintage case that holds several tiny hooks and sinkers, so you are good to go. Just go to Walmart and get some Berkley Powerbait for trout and you get ready for a fun experience. But this set is so pretty, you might just keep it for display. The case is only 14 inches overall. The rod is composed of five pieces and very easy to install and disassemble. The rod themselves I think are graphite. So very strong and the pistol grip is very comfortable and nice to hold. When fully assembled, it becomes a near full-size rod. Simply amazing! You don't find these vintage sets that easy anymore and the ones often listed are not the Japan-made quality and are newer versions. Those were made in other Asian countries. Minicast, Gear Ratio 1:4.1, Manufactured by Daiwa, Seiko, Japan, Line Cap. 4Lb/85Yds. 6Lb/65Yds. 8Lb/45Yds. and the heel is stamped Daiwa. Japan. Measures approx. 3 3/16" long. 2 1/8" tall and 1 11/16" spool cover diameter. This reel is in good condition and shows scratches. Scraps and dings on metal spool cover rim and reel is in very good working condition. I recently picked up a lot of vintage fishing reels and will be listing them all on ebay this week. I don't know a ton about reels. So I'm just going to list them auction style with a low starting bid and see what they go for. No reserve.
