UP FOR AUCTION IS A ZEBCO MODEL#55 SPINNER CASTING REEL MADE IN 1956.THE ORIGINAL BOX AND INFORMATION AS WELL. In January 1956. The Zebco name was adopted and the Zero Hour Bomb Co. still active in the oil field accessory industry, became a division of the tackle firm. In the summer of 1956, the"new" Zebco was quick to come to the market with their Model 44 and Model 55. The Model 44 was made to accommodate improved American-type straight handled rods which previously could only be fitted with foreign-made spinning reels. The Model 55 was designed for heavy duty fresh water fishing, surf casting and spinning. It is an early model made in the 1950s, has a metal frame instead of Lexan it is in good+ condition and work great. everything functions as it should, has a small amount of paint loss on black frame but otherwise it's pretty nice. More goodies from Grandpa's garage. This Zebco 33 is one of the earliest versions with the all stainless steel housings and other metal components. Grandpa had taken the reel apart for cleaning. I put the casings back on. Bench tested it, and it appears to work perfect. The only flaw is the missing black handle on the crank. Please note this. Otherwise this item is great. Up for auction is this Zebco Spin Casting fishing reel. It is a model 777 made in the U.S.A. Mounted under the rod. It is left handed. It is in good working order. I might need a little lubrication but I don't have the correct items so if the new owner thinks it needs to be done, he will have to do it himself. Besides in the past when I have taken reels apart springs, etc fall out and I have trouble getting the reel back together correctly. Thank you for viewing this item. This listing is for a lot of 2 Zebco 33 spincast reels. The first is a Zebco 33 reel. Silver. The second is a Zebco"Spinner" 33 reel. Also silver. These are sold as-is as we do not know if these work correctly. The 33 seems to work as it should when the release is pushed. And the line rewinds when you turn the handle. We did not test beyond doing that much. The one labeled spinner is sold for parts. I am not sure if it works or not- it is missing one screw that we can see, and the winding doesn't seem to happen as smoothly. As such, we didn't open/try and clean it or anything- just including it in this lot for parts. Looks to be in o.k. shape and I know the Spinners are more desirable- I think someone with some knowledge should easily be able to get it up and running. This item is a used Zebco 33 spinner reel with one large rivet in the foot.I don' know the age of it though. Made in u.s.a. This reel has been cleaned and lubed and loaded with 10 lb. test eagle claw line,and everything works,the reel has paint that is missing as you can see in the photo,but this is an old reel. This reel has drag knob on the left side and also a bait alert knob next to it,also a anti reverse lever below the crank handle. The reel has stainless front and back covers with a locking screw to hold the back cover on. The front cover has Zebco spinner model 33 stamped in it. The metal foot has zebco company pat. 2675193 Tulsa,Okla. stamped in it Will make good reel to display,collect or pan fish with and will cast very well and only shows normal wear.
