This auction is for a Daiwa Goldcast GC120 Spincast reel. I purchased this at an estate auction back in 2010. I had it lubed and re-spooled with good 12 lb. line and used it about a dozen times that summer. It worked great. That was the last time it was used and it's been in storage since then. So the line will probably need replaced due to memory. It's not in dire need of another lubing, as it was stored in a dry place and didn't get wet, but I guess that depends on how particular you are about your gear. There are some superficial scuffs and dings here and there from use(it's a tool, after all) but it's a solid piece of made-in-Japan fishing equipment. All seems to work as it should. I put a casting plug on it a few days ago, and it cast and retrieved without a hitch. The Zebco 33 and the under cast Omega 144 with the the bevel face in front and back work good some scratches but they work.The Zebco 20/10 needs to be tuned up or worked on. Its tight when you rotate handle?The Daiwa Silver cast 208RL Scratche works needs to be tune up and lubed this has scratches on front cover but rest of the reel looks good.All these reels are 20-30 years old I don't know how to work on these so if you know it won't take much to get all of them working like new.Thanks.

This Daiwa Silvercast 208RL spincast fishing reel is well loved but still has the box and all the paperwork that came with it. The box came apart on one side so it had been taped. Over the years the tape had dried out so I was able to remove it but there is still markings on the bottom of the box. This was purchased in Sept 1989(we still have the receipt) and the Target tag is still on the top of the box. Oh.almost forgot.
