Scope is in pretty decent condition. The high voltage supply for the CRT is in need of repair so it has been disconnected. I connected the VGA output on the back of this unit to my TV to perform tests and collect the above images. I have tested all 4 of the attenuators against the internal reference as well as the buttons on the control panel and it appears fully functional as long as it is attached to an external video source. You can also purchase a LCD kit to replace the outdated CRT assembly and have a self contained scope. Thanks for looking!

This is the scope I used for night/weekend consulting for a few years ending about four years ago. I no longer consult. So I'm ready to part with this trusty scope. It has all the features of a four channel scope you would expect. Condition wise it is in perfect shape with no scratches or blemishes. The knobs/encoders are still'clicky' like a brand new unit. There couldn't be more than 100-200hrs of time on it as I didn't use it regularly at all even in the consulting environment. Unit comes with four standard probes with color-coated markings which make it easy to match the on-screen color to the probe in your hand. I don't have the original box. Tektronix TDS420 150MHz 4 channel Digital Scope
All 4 channels seem to work(although the connector on Ch. 2 is a little loose) and it passes self test( see pictures) I'm not familiar with these older TDS scopes but it seems a little flaky. Unless I'm doing something wrong. When I change the signal amplitude, it will show the correct setting on the scope(i.e. 200mV, 500mV) but the signal does not change unless I un-trigger it, and then trigger it again. Up for auction is the following item: 1 Tektronix 7904A Mainframe oscilloscope with four plugins: Two 7A26. 7B85, and a 7A24 that I kept as a spare. Serial number is BO41236; it has options 02 and 78. Comes with a P6120 probe, too! This current setup makes it a 4-channel oscilloscope. Some of the knobs are a little dirty, as to be expected, but overall, it works great. All of the switches move, the knobs turn, etc. Electrically, it works great. The traces are sharp and bright; the screen does not appear to have any burn. The first screen shot is of a 1mhz wave; the second is 100mhz. The cooling fan sometimes makes a little rattle when you first turn it on, but after about 30 second, it quiets right down. I've had the scope for about 5 years. And it hasn't given me a bit of trouble. The use has been light; I'm just a hobbyist, ... morenot a professional user. So, why would I sell it? Well.it's a big scope, physically, and I just really don't have the room on my bench anymore. Scope is used but in good working order. I have used it for several contract jobs but I am looking to downgrade since I do not need this amount of scope anymore. This model is great for mixed signal analysis and debug. You should probably get it calibrated since I have not done that it a couple of years. You can download the full line of manuals and software bundles from the Tektronix web site if you need them. Registration is free for the web site.
