This in an auction for a Bell and Howell IOD-4540(or possibly 10D-4540) This unit does not have a handle. It also has a crack in the top right corner of the plastic. Seen in the picture and video. I do not know how to operate an oscilloscope. I got it from a friend's dad who said I would need it when working with electronics. I took it home and just do not know how to get the screen to work, There is a tube that lights up and after it warms up, I can turn the unit off and a blip comes out of the screen. I don't know anything else about the unit. I am selling it AS-IS, for parts since I do not know how to operate it. It may work fine. Really nice 1970's era oscilloscope. I cleaned all of the controls. Replaced three 0.1uf/ 1600V capacitors& went through the setup manual to calibrate all of the voltages. The scope works perfect. It comes with the two red& black leads as shown in the photogragh.

The school included assembly of the kit that resulted in what you see in the photos. It includes the assembly manual. The sale does not include test leads. Condition is used but excellent.in fact. You will have a hard time finding one of these in better condition. We would call it near mint. Better yet it is in working condition and we have used it to look at waves. He was a ham for many years and unfortunately has passed away last year. H lived and breathed amateur radio as a hobby and career. He had the highest level certification. This article was last kept in my dad's ham shack packed carefully in a labeled box MY OBSERVATION/ EXTENT OF TESTING: My ability to test ham equipment is like the dumb leading the dumber. I plugged the unit into the wall then switched the POWER button on. The upper right light illuminated. After about 20 seconds. A green light appeared in the scope window. It was not a"line" It was more like an oval circle with part of the circle missing on one side. As ludicrous as that sounds, that ... moreis the best way I can explain it. That is the extent of my testing as I am unfamiliar with these types of items. The last photo shows how my pops had the box labeled that it was packed in. As you can see, most of the casing is missing except for the front panel. The weight is 11 lbs before packing material. I'll pack it well. I have yet to have any items break during transit. I am listing this Bell& Howell Schools Devry Institute Oscilloscope Model 34. This old school scope came out of my good friend's estate. He was very well known for his electronics skills. He built this kit and used it up to the time he died. It has been taken apart to show its great condition. It works with the test leads that are included. All controls are working.
