Most scopes I sell, I sell for over $600 and include fresh cal& refurb, however, this model might not sell if I price it over $600, so it has not yet(or only partially) benefitted from my value adding services. It works correctly and is still in correct calibration. I shall leave you the option of paying more to do more for you(read below) 1st photo shows 2430A passes self-tests. 2nd photo shows optionally available Tek P6063B switchable probes(both 1:1& 10:1 200Mhz with readout switching; sealed/new; read below) Before digital storage scopes evolved into small lunchbox sized surface mount populated fluff boxes in the late 90s. There were digitizing scopes such as the Tektronix 2430A that actually contained normal size parts that can be worked on with human sized fingers. So unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become ... moree-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430A as 150MHz/ 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so. It is recommended for use at under 50MHz. Whereas a non-storage scope can only display what happens after triggering. A digital storage scope can also display what happens before triggering, and this is its main advantage it's like a time machine. You can think of it as an endless loop recorder(like a cockpit voice recorder of an airplane) and you can look back any part of the loop you haven't re-recorded over. The length of the loop is 1000 recording points. A point can be as long as 50mS at the slowest sweep speed, or as short as 10nS at the faster sweep speeds. I bought this scope(S/N 3051A03399) in an eBay auction as a parts/repair unit. I restored it to good physical and operating condition by setting line power to 115V. Installing three missing panel buttons, replacing bad CHAN 1 attenuator, installing missing top panel trim strip, replacing bad trigger qualifier board, and performing a front-panel calibration. I also verified proper HP-IB output operation by making a screen print to an HP thermal printer. The scope is in sound physical condition with typical scuffs and wear marks, but is missing its bottom and rear feet and input connector covers. The first screen picture shows a pulse pattern. The same pattern delayed by a 4-foot cable, the sum of the two inputs, and the integral of the first input. Besides the scope, the auction includes an IEC line cord.
