This came in from a test facility that had some older equipment that they didn't need anymore. This looks like it was in storage and not used for awhile. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace pretty much centered in the lower part of the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to punch a bunch of buttons to get the panel to light up and show that it does seem to work somewhat. Came up with two different traces, with two lines in each trace. Picture three has a dual trace in the center(center two lines) with a bigger dual trace(upper and lower lines) enclosing the inner dual trace.There is not much else I can do to test this since I have no probes. But you can now get it for a tiny fraction, working as well as new. ... more2465A was successor to best selling 2465 and predecessor to 2465B. 2465A added: keeping track of hours on, auto-scaling(idiotproof button) and front panel knob setting(setups) memory. I find not keeping track of hours by plain 2465 to be a serious drawback(you wouldn't want 1 that racked 262000 hours in its 30 years existance by being left on all the time, or even with 66000 hours if it was left on 1/4th the time) Scopes I sell have clocked less than 20000 hours. For 2465A that works out to no more ON than about 1/10th of the time. Another serious drawback of plain 2465 is a no longer made fan. 2465A uses a still available fan, and I do replace them as bearings wear. The only advantage I can think of that plain 2465 had was not needing a Li battery for memory backup. This auction is for a Tektronix 2336 YA 2 Channel 100 MHz Oscilloscope w/OPT 01 in EXCELLENT CONDITION! The scope has been bench tested and is working to spec. All of the front locks for the lid are in place and intact and the lid can be securely locked while it is closed. The trace is crisp and bright and the CRT and LCD are both clear and have no burn marks. Here are the few things that keep this scope from being near perfect. One of the“nubs” See Photos) that lock the handle into place has broken off and is rattling around in the lid of the scope. In no way. Shape or form does it affect the use and functionality of the scope. There is a small scratch in the CRT cover(not the screen SEE PHOTOS) Also. Equivalent time sampling up to 50 GS/Sec These'scopes are known for leaking electrolytic capacitors. If they are not replaced board damage will definitely happen at some point. This scope has NO BOARD DAMAGE. The caps were replaced in time before they leaked. This is a very nice scope to use. Lots of features and control functions, 4 reference waveform stores. Disc drive works. Tested for save and loading of files/setups, no problems This has the FFT function. Photo shows amplitude modulated signal result. These are digital only. No analog, so make sure it suits your application. I have not recalibrated this as I do not have the software available. But it checks out on all the calibration tests ... moreI can do.
