The oscilloscope is a portable 400Mhz instrument having a four channel vertical deflection system. Channel 1 and 2 provide calibrated deflection factors from 2mV per division to 5 V per division. Input impedance is selectable between either 1M ohm or 50 ohm internal termination. Input signal coupling with 1 M ohm can be selected as for AC od DC. Channel 3 and 4 have deflection factors of either 0.1V or 0.5 V per division. These inputs have an input impedance of 1 M ohm with DC input signal coupling. The Horizontal deflection system provides calibrated sweep speeds from 1.5 s per division to 500 ps per division. I plugged it in and tested the beam finder, line popped up fine, but had to hold the button. The position knob adjusted the line smoothly. Not really sure what that means but figured I'd pass along all my knowledge. It is in good cosmetic condition showing normal wear from the years. All buttons appear complete and not damaged. Up for bid is a nice working Tektronix® 434 Storage Oscilloscope w/Opt1 CRT. The scope is a solid state portable instrument that combines small size and light weight with the ability to make precision waveform measurements. It is designed for general purpose applications where display storage is desired along with conventional(non-store) operation. It is a dual-channel DC-to-25 MHz vertical system and provides calibrated deflection factors from 1 millivolt to 10 volts/division. The trigger circuits provide stable triggering over the full range of vertical frequency response although this unit triggers reliably to 50 MHz(not guaranteed) as shown in the second picture. The horizontal deflection system provides calibrated unmagnified sweep rates from 5 seconds to 0.2 μ sec.division. This unit has option 1 which provides 5 Div/ μ sec. The ... moreunit is a clean working oscilloscope and comes with a front cover. The traces are bright and clear and focus properly. All knobs and switches seem to work correctly. I have checked out the unit which seems to closely track both frequency and amplitude of my high-end synthesized signal generator. Although unfamiliar with the storage operation. I have played with it and it seems to store signals although they appear light after storage. This may be due to needing adjustment/calibration. Last calibration due date on the cabinet sticker shows it is past due for calibration. Overall this is a nice scope and would be a nice addition to any Lab or anyone’s Electronics Workshop or Ham Radio Shack. This unit is in good physical shape as shown by the pictures. Unit serial number is B516052. The unit is vintage test equipment so cannot be guaranteed to be in calibration but will be functionally checked again just prior to packaging for shipment. Used Working Tektronix 465B Dual Trace oscilloscope. This unit is in good overall condition. Has 2 calibration stickers on the side from the late 80's, then when the unit was removed from commercial service it went home with an employee and the last calibration was done by him in 1998 no sticker to verify but it has worked for me with no issues. It has been 3 years or so since it has seen service so it may need calibration or a general check up. Comes with protective front cover. 3 probes, a dual adapter, 3 way jumper, and single jumper, and pinch clip adapter. The feet on the back side have become brittle and show some deterioration.
