Buyer got it when he bought a farm about a year ago. He was a disabled Iraq vet. And had an injury to his left hand. Well, he needed a tractor he could use that had the PTO on the right side, this one is on the left. He used it for a few chores, mostly brush hog and back blading snow. It starts up very easy, even cold. has a manifold heater for easier cold starting, as well as a plug in block heater. The starter ... morewas new last year, and it cranks very well. had new batteries at that time also. The hydraulic pump was also recently replaced. Everything works good on this tractor, mechanically it is in great shape: Clutch, brakes, 3pt hitch, PTO turns on/off nicely, power steering, dual hydrualics. Tin is pretty good and straight. One rear tire is 95% other is decent but shows some weathering. This is a tractor EVERY farm should have, because of its versatility, and extreme fuel efficiency. Runs strong with no smoke. Bad spots on this tractor: Front end is a bit sloppy. Will need bushings in the spindles. The bearings are good, and tie rods are OK, just the bushings mostly. One brake is so-so, probably needs adjusting. Seat is ugly. Fenders are a little wobbly. Tach and MPH gauges are not working. Lights are not working. Ford 8n Tractor Flathead V8 project
This is a parts tractor that would make a good candidate for a flathead V8 conversion. Both the tractor and flathead will need Total Rebuilding. The flathead V8 was removed from a 1953 F1. The flathead V8 turns over. The heads were pulled from the V8 flathead and no cracks were seen. The tractor is missing some parts to be complete. I do have a cast iron intake for the V8 flathead. There is no flywheel for the tractor or the flathead. Not sure which one would be needed for the conversion. I do know you will need an adapter plate/mount. Radiator for the V8 flathead and some sort of gas tank among other items. This is not a complete project and some parts must be located. The block on the tractor is cracked. The tractor pump will need new gaskets. The pump looked in good shape. The lift piston and housing would need to be replaced. I have seen ... morethe piston/housing with the gaskets for the pump for around $125.00. The tractor block still has the crank, rods, pistons and cam. This would be an awesome build and well worth the effort. I have other projects on my plate and have decided to let this one go. I would like to see this conversion running. Thanks for your interest. 1984 Ford 5610 2wd 4.2L 4cyl diesel tractor with a 20ft Tiger boom mower(18ft actual reach) The head is 50" with a 3 blade stump jumper pan. Ford claimed 62hp at PTO. 3602 original hours. Rops w/ protective screen/ pexi-glass. Tandem front pump operates both the mower head and the control valve for the arm. Brackets for loader attachment are there but there is no loader for it. Mower is a recent trade-in to us. Had been in service up until delivery of their new mower 6/21/13. Well cared for all its' life by the municipality. Front tires were new last fall. This is a 40 HP International diesel 423 tractor. The motor was completely rebuilt in October of 2012. It cranks easy with no smoke. The lift and PTO work well too. Ford 8N Restoration Sherman Hi/Lo Transmission 12 volt Nice Nice NO RESERVE!!!!
I hope I'm not doing the wrong thing listing this special 8N with no reserve. It is not your ordinary run of the mill 8N. To begin with. It has the rare Sherman High/ Low transmission which gives you twice as many speeds and I'm told a top speed of 30- 35 mph. on pavement. How cool is that? The tread is great with a little weather checking on the rears and Brand new front tires on both sides. To top this. The rear tires are"loaded" meaning that they are filled with calcium chloride for better traction. I have included lots of pictures and at least one focused on each tire. The tractor starts and runs great with no leaks and does not burn oil. It just had a tune up with new points. Distributor cap, wires, and spark plugs. Steering is fairly tight. Brakes are good. This is a 1935 F-12 that has been setting for a long time. The block has no cracks or welds that I can find and cooling system is still full of antifreeze. Engine is stuck. Looking thru spark plug holes.1&3 look clean, 2 has some rust, 4 is the one that I think is holding it. Fuel tank looks good inside and out. It is missing drawbar, rear wheels, and mag. It has cutoffs on front with solid rims. Air cleaner housing has been welded, but radiator has not. Belt pulley is good and has shield. Trans seems to shift fine. Has foot pegs and serial# plate. 1974 Kubota L225 24HP 2WD Tractor
This tractor is in fair shape. But does need some work. When I bought it, I was told that the hour meter broke at 333 hours and that the original owner had put another 150 or so hours on it since the meter broke. I added a new hour meter when I bought it that shows an additional 13 hours. I've used this tractor a little to run a bush hog(maybe 3-4 hours) and for digging holes with a post-hole digger. Other than that it's just been used to pull things around or drive around our neighborhood. It's in fairly good cosmetic condition although there are a few dents and paint chips. Here are the improvements I've made: New exhaust stack and manifold. New front tires filled solid with foam to prevent punctures. Here are the issues I'm aware of: Alternator- Seems non-functional because the battery doesn't charge while the motor ... moreis running. I haven't diagnosed this fully so don't know the actual problem. I have a trickle-charger/battery-maintainer connected to the battery which keeps it topped off in between uses so there's enough power to get it started. Last time I checked. Alternators were available that would fit this tractor. The battery maintainer will come with the tractor. Right Brake- The turnbuckle that connects the pedal to the right brake is broken. Between the functional left brake and the clutch. I've never had an issue getting the tractor stopped. Lift Arm Assembly- The lift arms are rusted tight and can't be adjusted upward or downward. I began the process of replacing them but wasn't able to find the right parts. The nuts for the top link pin were damaged while being removed. The thread on the original top link pins were also damaged. I'm certain that there are generic replacements available. I just haven't found them. The assembly is currently functional, but needs to have these issues fixed to be 100% Steering Arm- The part that connects the steering from the left wheel to the right wheel is broken. The steering wheel still controls the left wheel.

1960 John Deere 730 Diesel Standard
Up for auction I have a 1960 John deere 730 diesel standard. The serial number is: 7322799. The tractor originally came from out west were it had spent its life on a wheat farm with a John deere 80. It used to have a cab and I removed it since it wasn't a factory cab. It's a nice old original tractor and has never been repainted. The pony motor ran 3 years ago. I haven't had time to get it running. It will need a battery and some fresh gas and possibly a set of points. The big motor starts rite up and runs great. It is by far the best running 730 I've ever owned. It doesn't use any oil and it doesn't smoke at all hardly. The governor and motor were rebuilt by the original owner back in the 80s. He had a whole new governor case and block installed. Since the pony doesn't run we always pull start it and it starts ... moreup immediately. The flywheel and clutch driver are both good and tight on the splines. The clutch works good and the transmission shifts as it should. It is full of good antifreeze. The wiring appears to be in good shape and the original fuel gauge still works. The hood and nose are in good shape with just a couple dents and dings. The fenders aren't rusted out but have some dents that will need fixing and a couple mounting holes. All of the sheet metal could be made perfect without to much body work.
