Up for bid is a 1971 Ford 5000 Diesel Tractor. 2798 original one-owner hours. This came from a local farm. And spent the past ten years or so on a 6' brush hog. Before that about the most it ever did was make hay. This is a straight original tractor. Working tachometer and instrument cluster. Working SOS transmission with no known issues. Power Steering. ROPS with canopy. Dual hydraulic remotes out the back. Clean Cat II 3pt hitch with telescoping bottom links and top link(not original but included) Matched set of Goodyear Dynatorque 15.5-38's on the rear in good shape with about 60% life. I believe they are loaded. Has spin-out rims. You will notice the dash side panels are off. However they are included in the sale. Working 12v generator setup. Flat-top fenders. Buy-it-now price includes the weights and bracket. There are(6) weights. ... moreLook to be 100 pounders. Known issues: Grill screen has some damage(see picture) We repaired a minor hose leak on hydraulic oil cooler return line. May need a hose. Normal leaks(nothing abnormal) for a tractor of this age. The PTO brake isn't adjusted correctly so it just"coasts" after you disengage the PTO. Normally the brake would stop it immediately. The PTO drives fine just doesn't brake on disengage. Front tires are truck tires and worn out. I cannot make any guarantees if the lights work or not. If tractor does not meet your expectations when you come to get it you can walk away with no hard feelings. I feel strongly this is a tractor that won't disappoint. Please check out my other items. The engine was overhauled in 2000 and 800 hours have been put on since(per dealer, we dont have paperwork on motor) Cab is straight and pretty clean and all the creature comforts work. All the lights and gauges work, even the light up gauges and cigarette lighter still operate! Hydraulics are quick and snappy, 3pt is in great shape both adjuster arms still work. PTO stops and starts correctly. Front end is free from welds and has good tight tie rods. Sheet metal is very good, no dings or dents. Rear tires are good matching, and will run a long time yet.
