1949 Massey Harris 30+ Hot Rod show pulling tractor with Big Block Chevy
This auction is for a 1949 Massey Harris 30 tractor. That has been meticulously restored and modified with a 1996 Chevrolet Big Block 454 CID that has been bored.030 over and converted to use a carburetor. The block work and parts assembly was all done at a very reputable performance shop in Hamburg, NY and it runs great. Behind this motor is a freshly rebuilt TH350 transmission that has a reverse valve body kit in it and a Hurst shifter to help you safely select your gears. All of this is hooked directly to the original stock transmission and rear end for this tractor, which has all new bearings and seals throughout. No detail was overlooked while building this tractor and no expense was spared. The engine is mostly stock with the exception of the.030 pistons and the 750 double pumper manual choke carburetor and the intake, however it does ... moreneed 93 octane fuel to prevent pre-ignition without the computer to adjust the timing. It has new hydraulic roller cam and lifters, same as stock, and the headers are modified to contain mufflers, which sound very good and not crazy loud. The radiator is an all aluminum Champion racing radiator with the transmission cooler built in and a chrome electric fan, there is a new water pump, new alternator with chrome brackets and stainless steel coolant hoses. The paint is Dupont Chromabase with clearcoat on the entire machine. All parts painted individually and later assembled. The chassis has been stretched approximately 2 feet along with the hood and all the body parts are the original steel that was on the tractor. The rear rims have been extended to accept the new 16.9 x 28 Goodyear tires, the front tires are 205/75-15 Carlisle, which are also new. So, the factory differences were as follows: Only available in single hyds, typically had 34" rear rubber, typically had fast hitch, smaller fuel tank, single headlights in the fenders, no battery covers, no hydraulic sheet metal under the seat, non wedge lock rear hubs, single element air filter, black dash, and a few other minor things. Basically these tractors were sold to guys who didn't care about the"dress up" stuff and they were also marketed in Mexico, where they just needed the horsepower, not the dress up. I'm telling you everything I know about this tractor. Good and bad. By the end of this description you will know 10 times more than I knew about it when I bought it in person. This tractor is considered a rough restoration, meaning its restored enough to show it at shows and have it in an antique collection, but isn't restored to pristine condition. But this means you can drive it around and start it up and not worry if it its gonna get dirt on the tires. I will start by explaining the problems the tractor has. The tractor has power steering but the steering is a little loose. The transmission case leaks some oil out the axle housing. I did some work on the grill and repainted the grill and had a professional paint shop match the color as close they could to the original color. The previous owner made a auxiliary hydraulic fluid tank ... moreunderneath the seat. The seat sometimes can hit into the tank if you go over a big bump. But it hasn't been a problem. The left and right wheel brakes are kind of locked together from being painted but should break loose. A small crack has formed on the front axle, it isn't too concerning and could be welded easily. Now for the good. The tractor has a strong running engine that runs smooth at all engine speeds. New Starter and a new muffler. The tractor is a rare show piece and gets a lot of attention. Sliding gear transmission is in great condition and the amplitorque(powershift) works great. The amplitorque transmission allows you to shift from low to hi or hi to low in any gear without clutching or stopping. All lights work. John Deere 730 Diesel Standard Electric Start
Up for auction I have a 1960 John Deere 730 diesel standard electric start. It's serial number: 7324483. It has the rare adjustable front in good non broke condition. The tractor runs great. It does need two new battery's and a couple battery cable ends. The cables are good but the ends are junk. It has the original starter. Bracket, throttle linkages, and breather. I pull start the tractor and it starts instantly. The clutch is good and it shifts as it should. The brakes are a little weak but they aren't froze up. It is full of good clean antifreeze. The flywheel and clutch drive are both right on the splines. The fenders are in great condition with a few dents but no rusting so they would clean up nice. The hood and nose are in good condition as well. I don't see anything wrong with it other then needing some battery attention. ... moreI've used it quite a bit around the farm pulling random stuff. It hasn't let me down yet. The power steering works and the front end seams good and tight. The original tach works and reads 1745 hrs. I'm not sure if this is correct but the drawbar shows low wear. All four tires hold air. The rear rims are in good non rotted condition, and the tires are about 30% matched tread but weathered. It is missing the top pre cleaner bowl. Overall it's a nice old rare tractor. Factor electric start tractors don't show up often in this good of condition. It worked perfect and had no problems at all. has 4 attachments THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. 5 foot Scrape box with rippers. HOWSE brand plow. 4 FOOT flail mower. 4 FOOT bush hog all attachments work. but the flail mower will need the blades re-attached. I let a friend use it and he throwed all the blades off by mowing into the dirt. I did go find the blades with my metal detector. So I do have them.THAT WAS A ALL DAY JOB! also the bush hog IS AN OLDER MODEL and leaks at the gearbox seal. but you just have to check it every once in awhile while running it. it went all day for me without refilling. ... moremostly leaks while sitting. also someone put chains on it to make it a stump jumper type(see picture) and it has a stump jumper plate under it I do not know the name brand for the bush hog or the flail mower the tractors rear wheel on the right side is filled with water/ radiator fluid/ air. but the other rear tire is just air filled. they are cracking but do not leak air. has almost new tires and tubes on the front. This is a very nice tractor that I believe will last a very long time for the winning bidder. Will run all day on just a tank of fuel with some left in it.

I have used this tractor to bush hog two small fields for the last ten years but I no longer need it. It starts and runs good and the bush hog works well even though it is old. There are a few small things you could work on if you wanted to. Five forward speeds plus reverse. This tractor is solid enough that if you wanted to restore it as an antique you could do so. 1949 JOHN DEERE 'BN' TRACTOR, TWO CYLINDER
1949 John Deere BN. It is a BN tractor beacuse of the 42" rear tires and the single 16" front tire. Tractor was restored about 20 years ago and then used for parades and such for many years. The last 8 years it has been stored in a barn until recently when I decided to sell it. The tractor has 2 brand new rear tires(hard to find) and there is a brand new front tire. Not installed, too. I removed the carb and cleaned it well and installed a basic rebuild kit. I removed the starter and had it checkedand is in excellent condition, probably rebuilt 20 years ago, and recommended I reinstall it as is. Tractor has electric start with a new battery. It starts and runs well. Paint still looks awesome with a little wear in a couple of spots. Seat cushion and backrest are new. Tractor also has PTO and Power-Trol. 1967 David Brown 990 selectamatic
This tractor belonged to my grandfather and I sadly have no use for it. I have the original shop manual to go with it and rates it at 68hp. 4 cylinder Diesel with 2512 hrs and fires right up. The battery is good as well. The power steering has been rebuilt, as has the fuel injection pump. Over $2600.00 in fixing those two alone to be able to complete chores and moving them from the farm. Comes with the Koyker 210 quick detach frontend loader with bucket and dual prong hay bale stinger. Both are quick detach. Also comes with a 72" Heavy duty Box blade and 60" Sidewinder brush hog and driveshaft. I also have two three point booms that go with it. It also comes with a three point seeder as well, not pictured. There is also a multi position three point ball attachment to go with, not pictured. And I do have the fixed ball attachment ... moreto fasten to the underside of the tractor as well, not pictured. Then there is the 24' low profile gooseneck flat bed trailer to go with it. Fresh 12ply tires and taillights work on it as well. Which I have hauled the tractor with the loader and bucket, box blade, brush hog and hay bale stinger all at the same time. John Deere 2755 w/ 245 Loader 1848 hrs
John Deere 2755 Tractor with only 1848 hours. Tractor has been used mainly for bailing hay. All is original except for the front tires which have been replaced with 4-rib that are now about 70 percent and the batteries which are about a year old and are NAPA brand. Rear axle is rack and pinion with tires being about 50 percent. Sheet metal is excellent while the paint shows slight fading. Seat needs to be replaced as it is starting to crack from age but the mechanical condition is good. Tractor has one set of factory remotes. 3 pt. hitch is tight with no unusual wear. There are no leaks on the tractor! Tractor has regularly been serviced using John Deere fluids. Very solid tractor that has been taken care of. The loader is a John Deere 245 Self-leveling with quick attach feature. The unit includes pallet forks. Bail spear and bucket. Bucket ... morehas a few holes rusted thru the bottom as it has always been stored outside but has had very minimal usage. The bucket can be repaired very easily. The hoses on the loader need to replaced soon as they are starting to crack although no leaks are present. These are all original hoses! This unit is for sale locally so this listing may be terminated early due to sale. I do not wish to ship the tractor. You look at it. Operate it, buy it, move it. There is nothing to hide just want the buyer to be happy with this large investment. The reason for selling is I have down sized and no longer bail my own hay. Ford 2n 8n 9n Tractor 3 Spd. With Hi/Low Sherman
Family owned since 1947 good running tractor we have not used in nearly 10 years it has a 3 speed with hi/low sherman. It leaks hydraulic fuild from the front seal which I understand is not a hard fix. The tire on rear are in great condition. It is on the original 6volt system. Great utilitarian tractor.

This is a good used tractor that I have used personally for some time. It is a 15HP Diesel Mitsubishi MT372 2 wheel drive tractor with a 48" belly mower. This machine has hydraulic lift. 3 speed transmission with Hi& Lo ranges giving you 6 forward& 2 reverse speeds. It has a rear differential lock, 3 speed rear pto to run any standard attachments, left& right brakes that can be locked together, both hand& foot throttles. Note the headlamp switch quit working so the headlamps now run when the key is on, or you could install a simple toggle switch if you desire. It has a few scratches from normal use, but over all I would say it is in pretty good condition. email me if you have questions.
