Massey Harris Ferguson Model 40 tractor. Has power steering, live hydraulics
I bought this tractor at a estate sale. I brought it home put new points in it and the thing fired right up. It runs good. Shifts through all the gears like it should and the brakes and PTO work just fine. The three point comes up like it should and it does have independent hydraulics which mean the PTO does not have to be running to raise the hitch. It has power steering which works good but it did plow a hydraulic line and I will try to get it fixed before the auction ends but no promise to do so. It has a key switch and starter button which did not work and I just jumped it across the starter to get it going. Fixing the wiring is no big deal and I would be happy to show you and like the hydraulic hose if I get time I will have that fixed also. This thing is very straight and clean. Massey Ferguson 1105 diesel tractor runs good looks ugly read description fully
I bought this tractor at a auction. The thing runs like a champ it is running in the pictures. As you can see in the pictures the right right side tires are flat. The rear tire is ruined and I think it has 38's on it but I do not remember for sure. I started it and the thing fired right up. The PTO. 3 point worked like it should. The shifter in it needs some lubricating I guess but both ranges worked fine and I did get it to go in forward and reverse. The thing does have heat and air, the door is missing. Serial number is 9B69421 It is sitting at the auction where I bought it and they will help you load it ifyou need. You can either send me a check for it or you can pay for it when you pick it up. This is a super nice tractor up for sale. With only 530 hours the diesel engine runs out great no smoke or blow by. Starts great in the cold no starting fluid required. It is a hydrostatic with hi lo range both work as they should. It has selectable 2x4 and 4x4 both work as they should. The lights do work even the horn works. It has mid and rear pto. The 60inch massey deck is in excellent shape no rust and not beat up. Comes with the rear blade. Tires are like brand new. The only thing i know of on the tractor is one small ding on the front. The sheet metal and paint are great. This is about as close to a new tractor as you can buy. If you are looking for something to just hop on and go this is the tractor for you. I bought this tractor 6 Years ago and used it for my garden work around the house and it worked fine. But 1 year ago it started to spotter and I tried to adjust carburetor screws and it shut of. It is still standing there. I never got around to work on it. By now the Battery is dead to. I am selling this tractor AS IS and with out any Warranty or Guarantee.Included in this deal is a brush hog. I am not an expert in the tractor industry. It has a heel peddle for positive traction. The front loader needs repair and is not currently attached. The tractor starts and runs well. Hydraulics and 3 point work well. This tractor has a 2 stage clutch and a PTO that can be set to rpm or forward motion. The power steering gear box needs a seal replaced and the engine has a 110volt block heater and has minor oil leaks common in tractors of this type and age. It has excellent Oil pressure. The oil pressure. Temperature, fuel and voltage gauges work the tachometer is not working. Up for sale is my personal tractor. Massey 255 with a gas Perkins. This is about a 58 hp tractor with extra hydr outlits. Very nice three point with no welds or brakes. Very nice back tires that show about 85% tread. Good flat top fenders. I bought this tractor about two years ago and completely rebuilt the front end. New axle. Pins and bushings, new tie rods. It does have a new battery that I haven't instated yet. Starts every time and is real reliable. The only reason im wanting to sell it is its to big for my property as I only use it for my garden and blade my drive.
