John Deere 730 Diesel Standard Electric Start
Up for auction I have a 1960 John Deere 730 diesel standard electric start. It's serial number: 7324483. It has the rare adjustable front in good non broke condition. The tractor runs great. It does need two new battery's and a couple battery cable ends. The cables are good but the ends are junk. It has the original starter. Bracket, throttle linkages, and breather. I pull start the tractor and it starts instantly. The clutch is good and it shifts as it should. The brakes are a little weak but they aren't froze up. It is full of good clean antifreeze. The flywheel and clutch drive are both right on the splines. The fenders are in great condition with a few dents but no rusting so they would clean up nice. The hood and nose are in good condition as well. I don't see anything wrong with it other then needing some battery attention. ... moreI've used it quite a bit around the farm pulling random stuff. It hasn't let me down yet. The power steering works and the front end seams good and tight. The original tach works and reads 1745 hrs. I'm not sure if this is correct but the drawbar shows low wear. All four tires hold air. The rear rims are in good non rotted condition, and the tires are about 30% matched tread but weathered. It is missing the top pre cleaner bowl. Overall it's a nice old rare tractor. Factor electric start tractors don't show up often in this good of condition. 1960 John Deere 730 Diesel Standard
Up for auction I have a 1960 John deere 730 diesel standard. The serial number is: 7322799. The tractor originally came from out west were it had spent its life on a wheat farm with a John deere 80. It used to have a cab and I removed it since it wasn't a factory cab. It's a nice old original tractor and has never been repainted. The pony motor ran 3 years ago. I haven't had time to get it running. It will need a battery and some fresh gas and possibly a set of points. The big motor starts rite up and runs great. It is by far the best running 730 I've ever owned. It doesn't use any oil and it doesn't smoke at all hardly. The governor and motor were rebuilt by the original owner back in the 80s. He had a whole new governor case and block installed. Since the pony doesn't run we always pull start it and it starts ... moreup immediately. The flywheel and clutch driver are both good and tight on the splines. The clutch works good and the transmission shifts as it should. It is full of good antifreeze. The wiring appears to be in good shape and the original fuel gauge still works. The hood and nose are in good shape with just a couple dents and dings. The fenders aren't rusted out but have some dents that will need fixing and a couple mounting holes. All of the sheet metal could be made perfect without to much body work. 1959 John Deere 730 Diesel Electric Standard 3 Point
1959 John Deere 730. This is a very clean tractor restored 20 years ago and out of a private collection. Tractor has only 1581 actual hours. It is very difficult to find these low. Low hour tractors. I have owned for about 10 years. Prior to that, my neighbor had tractor for 15 to 20 years. This is a genuine 730 standard(wheatland) It has the factory 3 point hitch with top link. Very few wheatland tractors came with a 3 point. The draft arms are the square type made only for the standard and are about impossible to find. John deere steps. John deere precleaner. Has the"Big Rubber" Serial# 7312316. Tires have good tread, but are weather checked. Rims have no Leaks. Gauges and tach work. Electric start with 2 new 12 volt batteries. Front lights all work good. Has front weight and side weights. Also has rear weights. Runs and operates ... moreas it should. I put 15 hours on this tractor last spring pulling 4-16's. The best therapy is moldboard plowing with a 730 or 830. Paint and body is excellent. Tractor has some scratches and paint chipping here and there, but still looks great. I have made it a point to use this tractor yearly and keep it serviced. Has the float ride seat. Has fuel shutoff and compression release. Sheet metal is excellent. I have the clutch cover. Not showing in pictures, but I will see that it gets put on there. Wire to the rear light needs to be replaced. Tractor kept in heated shed on concrete(can remain there until picked up) If you do not wish to keep the front weights, I will deduct $1000.00 from the final selling price. 1956 John Deere 70 Standard Diesel Tractor serial number 7036848. This tractor came froma dry western climate, the sheetmetal is solid, the hood is near perfect, grill has a few dings one of the fenders is very good the other has a dent on bottom corner, battery box is good and has one John Deere step on rear, very restorable and solid metal the fenders are not rusted on the inside by the brackets, this tractor was a pony start but has been converted to 12 volt electric start, it always fires right up, the original tach works and reads 7843 hours, oil pressure is good and high, engine does not smoke, there is a little rattle coming from valve cover but runs good, the rear rims are good and solid, rear tires are 18.4/30 at90% older tires few cracks and will last fro many years, front tires are 90% and in good condition, tractor has hyds, good ... moreworking LIVE PTO, and also comes with a RARE ROCKSHAFT so you could put a three point on it if you desire, not many of these had this option, the clutch and transmission work good, has HI/LO and it works good, the brakes do work the left works great the right works about 50% it has power steering it can be a bit sluggish, it seems to have a power steering leak, not a bad leak as it wont leave a puddle minor leak but does have a drip. This is a god tractor hard to find and came out of a western climate so it is not all rusted up it will not take much to restore it, being converted to electric start is nice, no pony motor to keep running, look it over ask questions if needed hard to find tractor that is selling NO RESERVE. This tractor is runing in the photos, it is a diesel with a pony starting engine, the pony motor does run and it will fire the big motor right up, big motor fires instantly, the tractor has good working factory power steering, the clutch, brakes PTO, transmission and hydraulics all work good, the front rims are John Deere 1276R has one new front tire, the rear rims are good, rear tires are 18.4/30 at 70% older tires but in good condition, has a cylinder hanger and a PTO shield, orignal generator, the hour meter is original and reads 3225.6 dont know how accurate that is but is a nice tractor, has a set of rear wheel weights, the sheetmetal is nice and solid there are a few dings but solid, leave as is or easy restore, I took a photo of the inside of one of the fenders to show you they are solid ... moreon the inside, one of the rear fenders is perfect they are both good on inside but as you can see in photo one has some rust by the bracket on the outer skin of fender. Very nice tractor starts, runs and drives very good, hard to find with factory Power Steering. If you are looking for one to use collect or restore this one is selling NO RESERVE. Normal 0 1987 Ford 2810 tractor 2 wheel drive runs on a three-cylinder diesel engine. The engine's horsepower is 36.5. This tractor has a dual-range transmission. The transmission gearbox is equipped with eight gears for variable forward motion and two gears for reversing. The PTO and the three point hitch setup work fine. 1958 John Deere 720 Diesel Standard Tractor serial number 7221728. This tractor is running in the photos, it came out of a estate where it has been sitting in a shed for the last 15 years and only run a couple of times, it runs good, does not smoke, the pony motor runs and fires up every time, does smoke a little, the big diesel motor fires up instantly, the pony motor clutch does grind once in a while, you need to pull it back a inch and then start the big motor then it doesnt grind, I think it is out of adjustment, the fenders are solid, I took a photo of the inside of one of them, the power steering does work but sometimes it will be sluggish and turn hard, the sheetmetal is solid, has a few dings but would restore easily, fenders are good, the wide front is good with no welds or breaks, the PTO works good and has a PTO shield, also has ... morea cylinder hanger, the seat is a float ride seat and has newer seat cushions, has a new muffler, tach is not working, rims are good there is a lttle rust starting by the valve stem, just starting and will last for many years, the rear tires are 18.4/30 at 40% and older tires with some cracks, this tractor starts good the big motor is very good and strong, pony always fires right up but smokes a little and needs some adjustment but will fire big motor instantly, the clutch is good, brakes, PTO and transmission all work good, it has been shedded for 15 years and not run much if at all, it would be a good one to restore or just add to your collection.
