Ford 3000 Tractor Nice strong diesel with power steering!
This is a real nice working tractor. Everything. But the tack works as it should, including the headlights. Tack does not work because of the new 12 volt alternator. Was told motors was rebuilt, don't know when or how long ago. Has not been used much at all in the last 3 years. Starts right up holds 60 pounds of oil pressure all day long, temp never goes over half way, brakes work okay they stop you, but might want to put some new pads on someday. Three point hitch works great, power steering, 8 speed transmission works nice and smooth, does not pop out of any gears, has locking differential, has new clutch same time motor was rebuilt again don't know how long ago, but feels like new. I have used it and it works great. Pto works great, very strong tractor and just sips the fuel. Tires are okay not new, but work well. It's not ... morea show tractor, but it's clean and works strong, has the heavy duty roll over bar-sun visor. I think that covers it. Good running tractor take`s a shot of starting fluid in cold weather for first start up. After that start`s right away,it has light colored smoke at idle and clears up when you open the throttle, has manual steering steers easily,maintenance done in last few years replaced:right rear tire,wheel,starter,alternator,fuel pump and filter,new battery this year.temperature and fuel gauge work! Tachometer and hour meter[reads5700or so hours] does not work, All gears, clutch,3 point hitch, hydraulics, and pto work`s good, No leakages of oils or fluids except fuel shut off has slow leak lost about a gallon over the winter,and a little seepage around PTO shaft. Have a ford 3000 tractor with a 3cyl gas 48 HP motor lots of recent work also has gm altanator conversion new 3 rib front tires with tubes rear tires are a bit older and calcium filled. Has live PTO and 3pt hitch has it is 2wd with 8spd tranny have some spare parts also have all service manuels for it runs fine fires up on the coldest of days I do have a fluid heater for it but its not installed. Has a 730 bucket set up on it currently the bucket set up is not working do to stripping the splines on the shaft that drives the pump it is less than a $100 points and condensor where just done I do have some accessories for it like tire chains and a fisher plow set up. Have the bucket working well enough to load it up on your trailer. Here is a VERY GOOD Ford 3000 diesel. It is not too pretty. But. It starts easy, runs strong, steers great, and has no known mechanical problems. You will probably never work this tractor as hard as I have personally worked it. I have run it with the brush hog You see attached to it in Hot August reclaiming a patch of ground that has not been cultivated in 20 years. Below is a list of things this tractor doesn't do. Or at least it hasn't while I have used it in extreme conditions! 1. This tractor has no blowby and uses no oil. 2. This tractor doesn't over heat 3. The clutch doesn't slip 4. The PTO doesn't jump out after it is engaged. 5. This tractor doesn't use much diesel fuel. it is very effecient These are some very important things to know. Bear in mind these are DRY brakes. 4. This tractor has very good tires. 5. This tractor has a new seat. 6. THIS TRACTOR DOES INCLUDE THE CUTTER SHOWN ATTACHED TO IT. It is 66" wide across the deck. I was told it was a 6 foot. But. It is obviously not that wide. I will call it a 5 foot. 7. The cutter is old and beat up. The deck has rust holes in places and The deck has been welded around the area the gear box attaches to. It is not worth much. But. It cuts pretty well. 8. This tractor is not very pretty cosmetically. And it has the wear You can expect from an old tractor like this. 9. The power steering is effortless. It handles really great. for sale locally. 1966 Ford 3000 Farm Tractor w/ Power Steering, 3pt, 47 HP, Gas Engine
For sale is a 1966 Ford 3000 gas tractor. It is serial number:C149824(denoting it was made in the Michigan. USA plant) It is Select-O-Speed with 10 forward and 2 reverse speeds. Rear tires are loaded to help with traction. Power steering and hydraulics work smooth. Runs strong. Clutch and brakes work well. The headlights are not hooked up and the choke cable is severed so it's manual choke at the moment. It's a cheap fix just a pain to install. It runs in all gears with most gears being smooth within range and a slight delay going into a gear or two. I don't know a lot about the select-o-speed. For a 50 year old tractor it works pretty smooth. This tractor spent most of its life as a fleet tractor with a hydraulic roller brush on the front with a pump driven off the crank pulley which is what I was told when I got it.
