1959 McCormick Farmall 140 Tractor w/ Belly Mower (Government Surplus)
Following World War II. Manufacturers of farm equipment and machinery in the United States sought ways to industrialize farming processes and retire the use of horses and mules on farms. This brought about the introduction of small tractors in the American agricultural community. One of the most popular small tractors during this time was Farmall 140 tractor, also known as International 140 tractor. Introduced by International Harvester to the American farming community in 1957. The Farmall 140 belongs to the Hundreds Series of Farmall tractors. The Hundreds series used numbers instead of letters to identify models. Tractors in the Hundreds series essentially had the same design as the tractors in the Letter Series, with slight differences on color and features. Perhaps this is the reason why the Farmall 140 looked very similar to the models ... moreA and B from the Letter Series. The Farmall 140 was similar to the Farmall Cub. A and B models in terms of design and utility. The Farmall140 affords the operation a clear view of the field he was working on because the tractor was offset to the left, while the driver’s seat and steering wheel were a little farther on the right. International harvester called this concept as“CultiVision. In the same fashion as the Farmall A and B tractors. The Farmall 140 tractor was also built to handle a single plow. It has a C-123 4-cylinder, gasoline engine and has a horsepower of 21. It also had a sliding-gear 4-speed transmission and one reverse gear. The whole tractor has a height of 83 inches and weights slightly more than 3,000 pounds. Its relative smallness makes the Farmall 140 ideal for plowing in small acreage farms and in gardens. Farmall International 140 tractor with L306 woods mower and complete snow blade
This is a 1969 Farmall 140 restored from the ground up the right way. All new seals and gaskets in engine. Transmission, axles and bulls gears, everything from top to bottom. I welded 1/2" drain plugs in the bull gear pans so the gear lube can be changed without removing the pans, plugs are the allen type. All new fluids through out complete tractor. Complete new tune up, cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, points, oil filter. New triple baffle gas cap. New water pump and new hoses and clamps. All lights work and generator charges battery. New battery box, top is included just was off when the picture was taken but is now on, new seat, and new floor mat which was purchased from Tim Fail at Farmall140.com, new steering wheel and center cap. This tractor has an industrial front axle completely rebuilt with new bearings and seals and new tie ... morerods, and rebuild steering box. This steering is tight with no free play. All tires removed from rims then sand blasted primed and painted. New tires and tubes on front. New tubes in rear NO fluid. Rear tires are about 80- 90% no weather check. All sheet metal and all parts were sand blasted before primmer and paint. New muffler. Engine is good, no smoke does not burn oil, all cylinders are 140 psi on compression test. I had the head redone, hot tanked magna fluxed new hardend seats installed and valves ground. Hydraulics work great with no leaks. Also comes with a complete snow plow with all parts and pins/mounting hardware, and a set of front and rear weights. Also included is both style rear rock shafts and both controls arms. A helper spring for a fast hitch. Also included is a extra set of rim centers i was gonna use them for turf tires but never got any. The woods mower is in very good shape with about 2 hours on the new belt, i mows very nice, i have not installed it on the tractor since the restoration but can if you wish i will leave that up to you. 1964 Farmall 140 tractor with cultivators and side dresser
Hello. Here is a restoration or rebuilder project for you. Some may consider it for parts. I am selling a mostly complete(maybe all complete. But there are certainly no guarantees that a few parts may not be missing) 1964 Farmall 140. This tractor has a stuck rear cylinder. The head is on there, but loose, as I have that cylinder soaking in breaking oil. The oil pan is off as well. These parts are all there. The tractor has near new tires, but I did notice some dry rotting. The sheetmetal is fairly good. The hood is straight and the cowl is one of the best that I have seen anywhere. It is in great condition. The tractor has an almost full set of cultivators with it. A few pieces may be missing. What is shown in the photos are what you will be receiving. The steering is reasonably tight with rotations of 10:00 to 3:00. It does steer well. ... moreThe owner before had the tractor for decades and told me that all the parts to put it back together were in these boxes and they sure seem to be, but again, a few items may be missing. 1979 Farmall 140 Antique Tractor NO RESERVE International Harvestor Mower
1979 Farmall 140 serial number 66271. This tractor starts and runs very good, it is running in the photos, does not smoke, all the lights do work, the rear flashers work, it has a belly mower on it is is a 3 blade finish mower, it does work good, it also has a add on three point hitch on the rear that works good, the hydraulics work good, it is 12 volt and the charging system works, I believe this is a induatrial tractor as it has Orange paint under the red and it has a little tag on steering bloster with identification to what county it belonged to, the rear tires are 12.4/24 Firestones and are brand new, the steering is tight maybe 12 to 1 Oclock play which is very little for a 140, the transmission is good, there is little to no whine in any of the gears, the rear rims are solid there is a littel rust starting by the valve stems if using ... moretractor they will last for many years, if restoring they will be easy to make look like new, the clutch, transmission and brakes all wrk good, the gas tank is good the hood and grill do have dings and the grill does have some putty in it as you can see that it has cracked, mechanically this tractor is very good, it has a good working three point hitch and a belly mower which makes this a very useful tractor, use it for mowing in the summer and for snowplowing in the winter, or restore and add to your collection as it was the last year of production.
