The guy owned this more than 20 years. Right when he bought it, it was supposed to have had an engine overhaul(at approx 5700 hrs) It has always started and ran perfect for him. Two years ago, he had the injection pump overhauled because it was dripping a bit by the throttle shaft. Tractor light up quick even cold, and runs good with no excessive smoke or blowby. Tractor hits all gears good, the t/a works, dual hydraulics pto and 3pt all operate as they should. Hydraulic assist clutch is a nice feature and works well. PTO turns on and off like its supposed to. Front lights work, cab lights are not working, but it appears like a disconnected wire. Paint is good, not professional but clean and sharp from a ways off! Tractor is right and ready. should be a good horse for a ton of different farm chores! Previous owner ran 80 acres of cash crop. This tractor was used for tillage and planting bad spots on this tractor: Front tires are pretty smooth. Very solid but not a ton of tread left. Seat has a few cracks. 1980 International Harvester Tractor Cab/Air Duals
This is a very good International Harvester Tractor. I have owned this tractor for almost 3 years and have used it on my farm often. It has plenty of power and hasn't used any noticeable oil between oil changes. It smokes a little when it is first started. But clears up after it warms up. The tractor has about 7500 hours and is in excellent working condition. The cab, sheet metal, frame, rims, etc. have little or no corrosion. The rubber is in fair condition but has plenty of traction and has no current leaks. The rear dual wheels can be removed if desired. The air works and holds charge. This tractor shifts solid and right. Some of these tractors had issues with lots of slop in the shifting mechanism, but this one is solid and smooth. Some minor oil leaks drips are present, but have only added a couple of gallons a year to the hydraulic ... moresystem. The engine RPM readout isn't functioning correctly, but I have made a mark on the throttle indicating the proper speed when running a PTO driven piece of equipment. This tractor would be perfect for a farmer that needs plenty of real old fashioned American Horsepower to pull discs or a big bat-wing. Again, I am not a tractor broker. I have used this tractor on my farm. The only reason I am selling is that I bought a new tractor last year and no longer have a use for it. This tractor is solid and tough, I couldn't sell it otherwise. All that being said, to the best of my knowledge this tractor is in excellent working condition and it looks great. However it is a piece of used equipment, so I must sell with no warranty implied or expressed. It is being sold as is and where is. I can help with shipping, but coordination would fall to the responsibility of the buyer. Someone will get a great tractor!
