~ 2 VTG JOHN DEERE LUSTRAN PLANTER PLATES ~ B9-24X BEAN ~ OLD FARM RUSTIC DECOR
Offered are two identical B9-24 X Lustran bean planter plates for John Deere and some other planters. These were patented(2.975,936) in 1961 and for many years were in standard use. Please be sure these are the size you want and will work in your planter. I'd like it to be clear that these do not bear a JD logo or trademark. Each plate is the typical 6-7/8 inches in diameter and weighs about 2.6 ounces. They are free of cracks or breaks. They do show some wear. I showed them to a corn farmer friend and he indicated that the wear was typical and these would work OK. I gave them a light cleaning. They'd clean up more with more effort. But I got all the easy stuff. I have other planter plates running in current auctions and there will be savings in shipping if you win more than one set. Antique Vintage Allis Chalmers Seed corn bean Planter Pair of Press Wheel Castings Part Vintage Antique Allis Chalmers Planter Pair(2) Press Wheel Rim Castings These are a Pair vintage Allis Chalmers Press Wheel Rim Castings(2) from a 2 row vintage Allis Chalmers planter that I bought a while ago. These are original Allis parts. I do not know the model number as it was mounted on a home-made 3-point tool bar. There are other parts that will be listed separately on other Ebay listings. The planter appears to have been used very little so most of these parts are in very good condition. What you see in the photos is what this auction is for. Very good condition. This auction is for the 2 castings shown. They will make up half of a rim. There are no breaks or cracks and the bolt-holes are okay. But on a couple of those holes a previous owner ... morehad tack-welded some of the through bolts to the castings; and I had to grind some of those welds off to get the bolts out. Some welding still remains around a few holes. But the casting are fine. When put together the casting will make 1/2 of a rim that has a diameter of apprx 15-1/2 inches. Email me if questions.
