Row width is set at 30" but could be adjusted. This is a 3 point mounted planter with cat 1 pins. Brackets are bolted on and are adjustable. Pins on brackets are low enough so that planter can be raised high enough out of the ground. Even for lower compact tractors. Seeding depth is adjustable with the quick adjust T handle. Planter has new truvee openers and dual guage wheels for accurate seed placement. Press wheels have adjustable down pressure. Seed tubes have sensors installed so that if a monitor wanted to be added at a later date. It could easily be done. This is a wheel driven plateless planter with factory transmission. Boxes have corn meters installed. Can be fitted ... morewith optional soybean or milo meters. Takes about a minute per row to change. I can exchange the corn meters for soybean meters if wanted. options: 1) I can install insecticide boxes(rear box that sets behind the seed box) for $100 per row. These could also be used for planting small seeds like turnips. 2)I can install a insecticide box that has been altered to apply fertilizer for $250 per row. 3)I can also add furrow openers for $100 per row. These are the disc blades that set in a v formation in front of each opener. They are used for clearing trash and clods out of the way for the seed opener to run on a level surface. This planter is heavier than the 71 flex. Coupled with dual down pressure springs this planter will notill in most conditions. It will also plant in tilled conditions. Planter is simple to operate. The 7000 series is known for being well built and dependable. This would be the perfect size for food plots or the smaller farmer. This listing is for a good. Functional 2 row Blackhawk corn planter. I used the planter to plant about 1/2 an acre for the deer last year. They ate it all by August so I am planting clover this year. The planter is currently set for 36" rows and comes with four sets of plates. The fertilizer hoppers were rusted out when I got the planter so I used tin around the lower edge and plastic inside the hopper to make it functional. I used bungee cords to hold the fertilizer hoppers in place. The planter needs a new section of chain for the fertilizer drive. This item is sold as is. Where is. Cash at pickup is fine. John Deere 2 Row 3 pt hitch Planter I built this planter from a 4 Row Pull Type Planter This planter has disc openers and new paint. This planter will plant corn. Soybeans or other seeds with the correct plate. Has different set of sprockets to change drive rate for seed. The re are 9 speeds for the seed. As you can see in the pictures. The extra sprockets for the seed are stored in a stand on the end of the planter. This is set up for category 1 hitch. Row width is set at 30 inches. Can be moved out to 40 inches. Will include 2 Sets of Plates with Planter. One for most flats and one for rounds. Item is greased and ready to plant your food crop or sweet corn! Will also plant seeds like green beans or peas with an appropriate soybean plate. Additional plates can be found on ebay or at most seed corn dealers. As you can see in the pictures this planter has been stored inside on one of my wagons that is why it is folded up in the pictures. This is not a model 71 planter.
