John Deere 7000 planter 4 row narrow 30 inch rows, field ready
Nice little John Deere 7000 4 row 30 inch narrow row planter. I bought it early last year hoping to rent a little ground and do a bit of hobby farming. It didn't work out that I could rent any ground last year or this year so I have decided to sell the planter and give my dad back some shed space. The planter is fully serviced and everything works great- all you need to do is set the population add seed and go to the field. This planter was a wide row from the factory. The only difference is in the axle and the markers. The frame is the same, so a previous owner shortened up the axle and the marker tubes. The workmanship is excellent- take a look at the picture of the axle. It was saw cut- not torched, set to the right width and a telescoping pipe slid over the joint for strength. Look at the quality of the welds- it may not be factory ... moreJohn Deere, but its done absolutely right. The disk openers are nearly new- the beveled edge is very distinct and they measure 15 inches. The scrapers behind the gauge wheels were new at the same time. They show almost no wear. I replaced one gauge wheel bearing and shimmed all of them to ride as close to the disks as possible. The seed hoppers are brand new poly with new lids. There are corn meters installed and they were disassembled, cleaned, and set back to the correct tension on the finger assembly. The markers alternate every cycle as they should. I had all the chains off the planter. There are no stiff links and all chains are lubricated. I also took the spring loaded tensioners off the row units and cleaned the stiff grease and dirt out so they all work like they were designed to. I planted a little bit of corn in the hay field and all rows are working well and dropping accurately. The planter has the wavy coulters mounted ahead of the rows so it could be used in minimum tillage conditions. I do have a set of bean cups that will be included. I haven't tried to use them, and a couple of them are stiff turning. Two of them have cracked tubes that have electrical tape

Tye 7 ft. Grain Drill Seeder for Food Plots, Farming, 3 pt. Hitch, Field Ready!
Selling a Tye. 7 ft. wide, minimum till, grain drill seeder in very good, field ready condition. Works great for wildlife food plots, landscaping, and grass seeding. I used this drill a few days ago to seed about 4 acres of food plots and it did a good job. Has 10 double disc openers with good blades and bearings- Rear packing wheels eliminate the need to pull a cultipacker or roller behind the drill- 8-inch spacings- Has large seed box for wheat. Soybean, etc. but also has settings on the seed chart for alfalfa. 3-point hitch hookup- Good seed tubes and springs- Clean. Solid, metal seed box- Can plant a variety of seed sizes and has the seed rate chart included- Front drive wheel powers the seed box and also adjusts to help control seed depth- Good seed meters. A few had hairline cracks that have been reinforced. As a preventative, with ... moreJB Weld(picture) to make sure there is not a future problem- Can be used as a no-till drill if the soil is soft after a rain. I did this on my sod lawn last fall to reseed it and had good results- This drill was converted from a 14' Tye drill and made into 2 seven foot drills- Parts are readily available from a Massey Ferguson or Agco dealer- Measurements are 84" x 64" x 55" tall. I believe the weight to be about 1,000 lbs. Our zip code is 65767 Nice size machine is very handy to get in the those tough spots at only 84-inches wide. This drill will do just as good a job planting seed as any John Deere. Land Pride, or Great Plains compact drill and will be a lot cheaper as those drills start at $9,000 new and go on up.
