Row width is set at 30" which is the most common. This is a 3 point mounted planter with cat 1 pins. Brackets are bolt on so they can be easily adjusted in or out. Planter stands are included which allows for easy hookups. Included is set of sprockets for changing seed population. These are stored conviently inside the planter bar(see pic) Sprockets in use are placed at the end of the bar where they are easy to get at and change if wanted. Comes with a seeding chart to determine which sprocket to use for a certain population. Seeding depth is adjustable with the quick adjust T handle. Planter has truvee opener discs with dual guage wheels for accurate seed placement. Press wheels have ... moreadjustable down pressure. This is a plate planter. Comes with choice of corn milo or soybean plates. Additional plates are $5 each. Plates are available for other crops. Such as pumpkin and sunflowers, at and other places on the web. Can even buy a blank plate to make your own. This planter as the ability to apply fertilizer while planting. There rear box(formerly an insecticide box) has had a meter installed to regulate and distribute dry granular fertilizer. It will apply up to 100 lbs. per acre. Other options I can add if wanted: 1) Furrow openers are 2 discs positioned in a v-shape in front of the seed discs. Used to clear trash and clods in front of the opener. Helps level the ground for the planter row unit. I can add these for $100 each. 2) Insecticide boxes are the rear box that sets behind the seed box(fertilizer box would have to be removed) These are used to apply insecticide with the seed in furrow. I have seen these built before but never with any adjustment. I build these with a hydaulic motor and a hydraulic flow control valve with bypass return. This allows it to be used with a tractor that has a open center or closed center hydraulic system. Most of your compact tractors have open center systems. This will work with any tractor that has hydraulic ... morecapabilities. It also allows you to adjust the seeding rate to any seed population desired. This set up eliminates the drive tire and drive tire chain/sprockets. You can also slide your row units closer together if wanted for narrower row spacings since there is no tire in the center. Another nice feature is that you can turn your meters while driving and lift the planter out of the ground to see what kind of seed spacing you are getting. Hello you are bidding on a model 3 point 71 planter with IH McCormick fertilizer attachment(just wanted to keep the JD and the IH people happy) I made this out of two 71 planter units and the fertilizer was from a IH planter The planter units have been gone through and work great. Now the fertilizer is run off of hydraulics from the tractor I have used it on a Minneaplois Moline Jetstar Massey Fergeson 265 Ford 340 many different tractors and have not had a problem overheating I only do about 4-6 acres at a time used for sweet corn and food plots. These planter units can plant almost anything corn. Beans, sugar beets, just need the plates I have a few plates to go with the planter mostly for corn they can be bought on Ebay many are for sale. I also have the different size sprockets that change the population count per row. If you see in the ... morephoto I installed a 12 volt DC monitor and this is run off of a small battery that comes on fish locators or many other devices 12 volt dc 7 amp per hour This does not monitor the seed what it does is it make sure the drive chain on the unit has not fallen off. Up for bids is an International 800 Cyclo 6 Row Narrow Corn Planter Setup for 30" rows(non-adjustable) Comes with 36 hole corn drum. Monitor, and electric marker control. Has dry fertilizer boxes and openers. 1000 RPM PTO hydraulic pump. Has seed firmers on the opener units to eliminate the potential"seed bounce" that can occur with these planters. Overall condition is"Fair" working condition. I just planted 24 acres with it last week so I know that it will plant just fine. Seed disc openers. Covering discs, and press wheels all in good shape. Has lots of new down pressure springs on it. Hydraulic pump and blower fan are working fine, holds good pressure in the seed tank. Seed flow monitor functions(but it fails system test at startup because the seed hopper sensor isn't working properly, probably a bad wire or ... moreperhaps the sensor is bad) Fertilizer boxes and augers in decent shape. The fertilizer openers need some repair. The left most opener is cocked a little. And some of the fertilizer shoes(that go down between the disc openers) are missing. The fiberglass seed box has had a couple of repairs from being damaged by a fertilizer auger(previous owner. Not me) The repair isn't real pretty but it does hold air pressure and work properly. Up for bids is an International 58 6 Row Narrow Corn/Soybean(and more) Planter. Currently set for 30" rows. Can be adjusted. Has liquid fertilizer tanks and fertilizer openers. Mechanical lift row markers. Double disc/ runner openers with rubber press wheels behind. This is a plate planter, comes with 2 sets of corn plates and 2 sets of soybean plates. Hydraulic lift cylinder and operator's manual included. Overall condition is good. Opener discs have plenty of life left. Fertilizer openers have a little more wear on them but still usable. Liquid fertilizer tanks are fiberglass so no rusting problems. The fertilizer tank lids are missing. One of the orifice discs for liquid dispensing is missing, and one of the glass bowls on the tank outlet is broken(see pictures) It is a gravity flow system, no pumps needed. When you start planting ... morea plunger comes up from the bottom of the tanks to release the liquid fertilizer flow through an orifice that controls the flow. Some repair will be needed to make it fully functional again, but it is a neat setup. Tires hold air but are pretty old. Good enough for farm and short road travel. As far as hauling. The tongue does remove quite easily(4 bolts) to load it on a trailer sideways. We have the equipment to load it on your trailer for you. Please check out my other items. I have 3 fertilizer boxes for John Deere planter I think they are for 494 model planters. I have a 1240 planter and they look exactly like them but need mounting holes drilled to match. These boxes don't look to have been used one is picture perfect and other two have surface rust on them on inside. They all have lids and I have 2 augers.
