Nice little John Deere 7000 4 row 30 inch narrow row planter. I bought it early last year hoping to rent a little ground and do a bit of hobby farming. It didn't work out that I could rent any ground last year or this year so I have decided to sell the planter and give my dad back some shed space. The planter is fully serviced and everything works great- all you need to do is set the population add seed and go to the field. This planter was a wide row from the factory. The only difference is in the axle and the markers. The frame is the same, so a previous owner shortened up the axle and the marker tubes. The workmanship is excellent- take a look at the picture of the axle. It was saw cut- not torched, set to the right width and a telescoping pipe slid over the joint for strength. Look at the quality of the welds- it may not be factory ... moreJohn Deere, but its done absolutely right. The disk openers are nearly new- the beveled edge is very distinct and they measure 15 inches. The scrapers behind the gauge wheels were new at the same time. They show almost no wear. I replaced one gauge wheel bearing and shimmed all of them to ride as close to the disks as possible. The seed hoppers are brand new poly with new lids. There are corn meters installed and they were disassembled, cleaned, and set back to the correct tension on the finger assembly. The markers alternate every cycle as they should. I had all the chains off the planter. There are no stiff links and all chains are lubricated. I also took the spring loaded tensioners off the row units and cleaned the stiff grease and dirt out so they all work like they were designed to. I planted a little bit of corn in the hay field and all rows are working well and dropping accurately. The planter has the wavy coulters mounted ahead of the rows so it could be used in minimum tillage conditions. I do have a set of bean cups that will be included. I haven't tried to use them, and a couple of them are stiff turning. Two of them have cracked tubes that have electrical tape

International 2 Row Planter with Seed Plates
International 2 Row Planter This planter worked many years ago when we put it in the barn. It has not been used in several years. One tire loses air over a few days period. One row marker is broke. But can be welded. With a few minor repairs it should be field ready: fertilizer boots are dry rotted, marker needs repaired. It has bean plates in it at this time. And we will throw in a whole stack of corn plates. I do not know the year and model number. And have no manual for it. Please look at the pictures closely. I do my best to describe the item. Here is my web site(still under construction) new web site For auction is a John Deere 2 row planter equipped with model 7000/ 7100 row units. Planter is in good condition. Row width is set at 30" which is the most common. This is a 3 point mounted planter with cat 1 pins. Brackets are bolt on so they can be easily adjusted in or out. Planter stands are included which allows for easy hookups. Included is set of sprockets for changing seed population. These are stored conviently inside the planter bar(see pic) Sprockets in use are placed at the end of the bar where they are easy to get at and change if wanted. Comes with a seeding chart to determine which sprocket to use for a certain population. Seeding depth is adjustable with the quick adjust T handle. Planter has brand new truvee opener discs with dual guage wheels for accurate seed ... moreplacement. Press wheels have adjustable down pressure. Boxes have corn meters installed. Can be fitted with optional milo or soybean meters. Takes about a minute per row to change. I sell the bean meters for $50 per row. Add $25 per row if you want milo also. Other options I can add if wanted: 1) Furrow openers are 2 discs positioned in a v-shape in front of the seed discs. Used to clear trash and clods in front of the opener. Helps level the ground for the planter row unit. I can add these for $100 each. 2) Insecticide boxes are the rear box that sets behind the seed box. These are used to apply insecticide with the seed in furrow. These could also be used for planting small seeds like turnips. Some have also used for fertilizer. But I do not recommend for this. I sell these for $100 per row. This planter is heavier than the 71 flex. Coupled with dual down pressure springs this planter will notill in most conditions. It will also plant in tilled conditions.
