The top hole is where you put the oil in, you take out the pipe plug and as you pour the oil in and when it starts running out of the pipe plug hole then it is full. John Deere MX8 Rotary Mower Description: STEAL. This brush hog is overall in very nice condition. But 2 spindles are missing. Both the center and left spindle shafts are out of the tractor and I do not have them here. The housings are all there(as you can see, but the shafts appear to be gone. Otherwise, things look OK- the gearboxes all turn as they should and make no noise or show any obvious problems! The chains, etc. are all in functioning condition as are the PTO shafts and the attaching mechanism. We removed the wheels to make it easier to move around, but everything you see pictured is included. This is a huge brush hog and you need a big tractor to use it- Deere recommends a minimum of 40 HP and a Category 2 hitch to hook it up. I'd go bigger. Personally. These decks regularly sell for over $4000 in working order. So for a little ... morework and a few parts you're getting this one for half price! Moving sale- we are downsizing before a move. No reserve price so you might really get a steal on this mower! This mower worked fine until this week when one of the bolts holding a mower blade sheared off. The last parts picture shows the bolt as part#17 at the bottom. This is not the first time that has happened over the time we have had this mower and we fixed it the other time. However. Since we are moving and have no need for the mower, we are leaving this for the new owner to repair since you may be able to do it yourself with a bolt extractor, or the parts are still available if you prefer to replace this blade assembly. IN(zip 47449) You are looking at a very nice 2004 Frontier GM1072R rear-discharge grooming mower(also known as a finish mower) These are designed for finish cutting your lawn just like a standard lawn mower would. This is a 3pt model which means you would have to have a tractor with a category 1 3-pt hitch and 540 rpm PTO. This is a rear-discharge which means the grass clippings go out the rear of the machine instead of blowing out the side. This is nice in areas where you do not want to blow grass clippings on objects like your house. Vehicles, etc. Take note. We DO have the other 1/2 of the PTO shaft. It was simply removed and stored inside to avoid theft. This mower does have 4 sold rubber tires and overall is in good condition. LandPride Finish Mower 90" 7 1/2' 3-pt Side Discharge Land Pride
This is a 3 point hitch finish mower. It is in very good working condition. There are no issues with the mower other than some scratches. It is a very high quality built mower. It runs very smoothly. With the hitch lifted and the mower not in the grass. When the pto is engaged it sounds like a large fan running; no squeaks or rattles at all. The drive belt is in good shape. The blades are in good shape and still do a lawn mower quality job. It has a 7 1/2' cut width so it can cover ground quickly. I have used it on a tractor with 33 pto hp and it does excellent. One of the tires leaks air slowly. I am not sure of the weight of the mower but I would say it weighs between 600 and 800 lbs. It is available for pickup only.
