This is a 3 point hitch finish mower. It is in very good working condition. There are no issues with the mower other than some scratches. It is a very high quality built mower. It runs very smoothly. With the hitch lifted and the mower not in the grass. When the pto is engaged it sounds like a large fan running; no squeaks or rattles at all. The drive belt is in good shape. The blades are in good shape and still do a lawn mower quality job. It has a 7 1/2' cut width so it can cover ground quickly. I have used it on a tractor with 33 pto hp and it does excellent. One of the tires leaks air slowly. I am not sure of the weight of the mower but I would say it weighs between 600 and 800 lbs. It is available for pickup only. Two (2) 5' Brush Hog type rotary mowers 3 point hitch NO RESERVE
You are bidding on two(2) 5' Brush Hog type rotary mowers for a standard three point hitch. These machines are being auctioned AS IS. I cannot tell you what make either of these mowers are as I bought them both used and neither of them have any identifying marks. The yellow one MAY be a John Deere as it is that style but I can't sat for sure. The blue mower is the more heavy-duty of the pair. I used it to cut everything from grass to small trees. It is missing the hardware(stud and nut.available most anywhere) to attach one of the blades(I do have the blade) The yellow machine is of a lighter-duty construction. I used it to cut grass and light brush. It has several cracks in the deck that need to be welded. It also has a spring loaded clutch type thing where the shaft connects to the gearbox which prevents the tractor from stalling ... moreif you were to wack a big rock or something. Other than what I've mentioned both mowers are in good mechanical order; gearbox ok. Shaft ok, etc. I wish I had more pics but I do not. I operated both these machines with a Massey Ferguson 65, Massey Ferguson TO35, and a Massey Harris 22. No problems. There's a lot of life left in both these mowers for someone who has the time to show them a little TLC. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I will not arrange shipping of any kind. Don't even ask. 5 Foot Brush Hog Mower for Tractor 3 point hitch
I bought this old Brush hog mower 10 years ago. And it was in semi-good condition at that time. I thought it was a Ford when I bought it, but I'm not sure of the brand. I've used it about once a year over the past 10 years, and it had run each year. It seems to get bogged down in thicker grass, and I'm not sure if that is because of a worn clutch or other reasons. The deck is solid; the blades are very worn down. The drive shaft looks like it was welded back together at some point, and has a slight wobble when the deck is running. I've never changed the gear oil in it. So it is 10 years older, with more wear and tear than when I bought it. I would recommend expectign some maintenanceon this when you buy it; I think it has a few years left in it, but can't make any guarantees; you are buying it as-is. Up for bid is a nice Woods Cadet 84" brush mower. This is a very heavy duty mower unlike the Chinese junk that you find. It has an 84 inch cutting width and runs very smooth for a mower its size. I just used it the other day; it cuts great as you can see in the picture. It has a laminated rear tire so you never have to worry about flats. Heavy duty slip clutch instead of shear pins to keep you going even while cutting thick stuff. PTO shaft is adjustable in and out for larger or small tractors. Category II pins now but could be easily changed out to category I if someone wanted to. Gearbox is very strong and doesn't make any funny noises. Deck spins right up and runs smooth. I bought this new and I doubt if I have put a maximum of 25 hours of running time on this finish mower. This mower is in perfect condition. Land Pride is high quality USA manufacture of agriculture and lawn equipment. Proper lubrication has been done at purchase time and though the short period of use(you will be able to check out and see there is absolutely no wear and everything has been well lubricated) The tires are the filled(no flat type) mower height settings can easily be changed by pulling a pin and changing the wheel stem spacers, PTO shaft has the quick turn coupling for attaching or removing. This is for the 540 rpm tractor PTO speed. This mower makes a very nice cut and lays the cut grass out of the rear of the mower. ... moreMower makes a 84" cut, has 3 blades. No longer needed on my property is the reason it is being sold. And has always been stored inside when not used. Includes operator’s manual. You can see this operate before taking delivery.
