VINTAGE MILWARDS SOLID WOOD SALMON ROD-10 FT 7 INCH-3 PIECE/1 TIP-NEEDS GUIDES
Here is a Vintage Mil wards of England Solid Wood Salmon Rod. This is a 3 piece 1 tip with a length of 10 feet 7 inches. I believe this rod is Greenheart but not sure. Th e t ip section is short by 2.5 inches. The ferrules are spiked and brass in construction. The mid has all the guides but the but need to have the agate or glass insert reattached. The tip section needs 3 guides replaced. These are the t hin wire casting style guides. The cork grip is 16.5 inches long. The reelseat. Cork a nd ferrules are in good sh ape. The Milwards name is l egible on the butt ca p. The sliding ri ngs for t he reel are brass in construction. The sections are pretty straight but t he tip has some fishing experience. VERY nice Historic late 1800s/early 1900s Chickering 7.5 ft concert grand piano
This is an amazing concert grand piano I purchased from the owner of the house I was renting in San Carlos. CA. She was going to rent the house un-furnished, but I just bought all the furnishings because I was too lazy to go furniture shopping for myself. Here is what she told me about the piano. She had lived in this house since the early 60s. I believe the piano had been there most of that time. She claims that she bought it from a piano dealer in the San Francisco who told her that this was the piano taken from the Fox Theater in San Francisco. He told her that it was worth a fortune for this reason. She told me that loads of famous people played on this piano and that various piano experts in the area had told her that it was worth $30k to $40k if it were restored. Sounds plausible to me- plus this lady has proved herself to be completely ... morehonest in everything she's told me. So if there is any error in these claims. It's either that SHE was lied to or I'm not remembering everything exactly right. But she certainly convinced me that the piano was worth every penny I was paying and then some. So I bought it. I've wanted to resume my piano lessons ever since quitting in high school. As I should have expected. Though, being CEO of an internet startup while raising 3 kids of my own under 10 years old, has consumed enough of my time that I haven't worked in the piano lessons somehow. Also, since buying it, I have moved to this area- into a beautiful loft home in downtown McLean, IL. This is where the piano now resides. By the way. The previous owner had had the piano tuned regularly and religiously. I had it tuned by Horine's a few months ago and it is still sounding pretty good. For your consideration- A very nice F E Thomas 9 1/2 ft Thomas Special Salmon Rod which also has the fight butt handle- tip tube.Cap and sock- canvas case with orig tag- butt section has ferrule plugs for both ends and the butt end plug is numbered the same as rods reel seat#382- which all matches the original tag guides and wraps nice and tight. the only issue I see with this rod is the butt and middle sections the original finnish is cracking and should be either touched up or refinnished but not terribly check pics- there is a wrap near cork that is starting to come loose and the cork is lightly soiled from use. The ferrules and wrappings are in good condition. It comes with a green rod bag in an aluminum case. The case cap is labeled A.A.W.Co. with Peerless shield. On Jan-21-13 at 19:48:30 PST. Seller added the following information: the actual rod weight is 3 7/8 oz. with the butt and 1 tip(either one) not the 4 1/2 oz as orig. stated also there is a minor color variation between the tips. I.e. one is slightly darker than the other.

This is a Featherlight 7 1/2' three piece bamboo fly rod with two tips. Possibly made by Horrocks Ibbotson early in the last century, the only identifier is a feather decal on the shaft with the word Feaherlight on it. The butt and both tips are 31 1/4" long, the mid section is 1 1/4" short, the finish is good with a few chips All of the wraps seem to be original with the exception of the first and third guides on the mid section which appear to be re-wraps, it has an agate stripper guide and one tip with an agate tip top, the other has a metal tip top. The tip with the agate tip top has and old repair over-wrap 3" up from the ferrule(see pic#7) The wraps are maroon with decorative intermediates the ferrules are of better quality and fit pretty well. It has a slide band reel seat, both it, and the grip are in good condition. ... moreIt comes with felt covered case, not sure if it is original but it is period correct and a bag which appears to come from another rod. This is a newly rebuilt Smallstream split bamboo fly rod in three piece with single tip seven and a half foot long in four weight. The rod is built from a Southbend eight and a half footer which was shortened at the male ferrules. We used all premium components including a nickle silver cap and ring reelseat on a maple wood insert and a western style cork grip in"A" grade. The line guides tip top and stripper are chrome the hookeeper is silver ring type.The cane is finished with the coats of spar varnish and is wrapped in white and black classic twist. We lawn cast the rod and suggest four weight DT line the action is medium.

Talon Cast Net for Mullet- 7 ft Radius Mono (2" Stretch Mesh)
Selling a used 7ft radius braille style cast net made by Talon Cast Nets(Florida) I am the original owner. I custom ordered this net brand new from Talon Cast Nets in June 2011. Per the invoice the net is"a 7 foot 7 pounds of lead 2 inch stretched mesh 208 white monofilament(24 pound break test) I paid $132 shipping included. I switched to a larger net recently and don't use this net any longer. The net functions as intended. Shows signs of wear from normal use catching mullet and other types of fish at Hawaiian beaches. Allcocks LIGHT CASTER 7 ft Cane Rod
A vintage classic ALLCOCKS LIGHT CASTER split cane 7 foot 2 piece rod. These Light Caster rods are famous for their conquests. Many years back a Light Caster caught and landed a 28lb Brook Trout. Not bad for a Perch and Trout style rod. All rings are sound, a couple of whippings are darker than the rest, and the rod has a slight set. But not serious and is fit for more fishing or even a refurb to get back to its original beauty. It consists of eight one foot sections that. When put together, will make a seven foot or a six foot fly rod. The rod itself is unmarked. The rod butt has a down sliding reel seat and a 4 1/2" sheet cork grip. All sections have a Green silk winding with Red accents. Each section, except the butt, have one snake guide, plus tip sections have two different types of tip tops. The bamboo is sound, but needs a revarnish, and some of the ferrules need reglued.
