This vise was manufactured by DURACRAFT and is obviously intended to be a Wilton knockoff. Although it's not as good a brand as a Wilton it also won't be as expensive as one and still. It actually feels like a really good vise. The action is smooth, no snags in the main screw at all. One finger easy spin out and one finger easy spin in. It's ready to work, I saw no structural damage anywhere, just the usual surface blemishes from a working tool that you can see in the photos. There's no owner markings. Condition issues: Scratches. Vintage Wilton 7.5" Tradesman Bench Vise- SCHILLER PARK Illinois- Swivel Base Mechanic Heavy Duty Tool N2 Vtg Made in USA* You are bidding on the Vintage Wilton Vise pictured. It is marked" WILTON SCHILLER PARK ILLINOIS USA" on one side(see Picture#2) and then marked" N2" 111092" And" 111093" on the other side(see Picture#4) This item is used. But functions properly. It has some normal use wear, mostly on the top areas of the vise grips(see Pictures) I am not sure how old it is. It belonged to my father. It could use a little cleaning as it has sat on my father's workbench for many many years. The vise is very heavy, weighing about 45 pounds on my scale(my scale has been wrong before, so give or take a couple pounds) From end to end when fuller closed, it measures about 14 inches(including the handle) ... moreIt stands about 8.5 inches tall. The vise jaws open up to about 7.5 inches(see Picture#6) and the jaws themselves are about 4 inches wide. The base has a diameter of about 7.75 inches, not including the feet used to bolt the vise down(see Picture#12) This is definitely a big vise. The jaws have some wear but appear to be in descent shape(see Pictures#7 and#8) The handle/ bar to open and close the vise turns smoothly without any issues. Please note on the side that the handle is, there appears to be a screw missing(see Picture#10) The vise still seems to function well, but you may need to find a screw to put in there. I looked around here and could not find it anywhere. I am not an expert on these items, so I tried to describe this item as best as possible. This particular model has the more unusual aluminum ball ends on the operating handle. The standard ends were made of steel. The vise has 4 1/4" jaws and a throat depth of 2 3/4" It has a max opening of 4 1/2" and tips the scales at 26lbs.

Prentiss No. 19 Swivel Bench Vise....NO RESERVE!!!
You are bidding on a really nice vintage Prentiss Bench vise in decent shape. It's about 16" give or take with 3 1/4" jaws and weighs about 30+ lbs. This is really old. I'm going to say around WWII era or maybe a bit older. It is obviously used. But still in good shape. This is not the crap you get at Sears and Harbor Freight today. The jaw opens and closes fine, but it's not 100% lining up when closed. It's minimal, like under an 1/8" off. It could be the lead screw nut needs to be adjusted. The static jaw has an upper moveable jaw. I haven't tried to move it by releasing the pin, but it should slide out. I soaked the vise in molasses for a week and stripped it to bare metal using a polishing disc. It had at least three coats of ugly latex paint I had to strip off. This is the vise in all its naked beauty. ... moreI got it 95% clean, but it was difficult to get in between the letters. I was going to sandblast it, but I was out of media. It has 3.5" removable jaws that will open to just about 3.5" This vise sits on a 3-point swivel base and features a small anvil. On the female half the vise the numbers and letters"Rock Island Mfg. Co. 446" and on the male half"6" are printed. Also on the swivel handle"5G" is printed. This vise weighs in at 18 lbs. and sits about 6.5" tall and about 12" long when closed. It has 3" removable jaws that will open to just about 5" This vise sits on a 4 point swivel base and has pipe clamps built in. It also features a small anvil. On the female half of the vise the numbers and letters" 111099 2UX" and on the male half"111098 3UX" are printed. This vise weighs in at 17 lbs. and sits a hair over 6" tall and about 10.5" long when closed. All the mechanical parts work smoothly and their are very few dings. Heavy duty Wilton machinist vise may have been one of the first vises Wilton made? Bottom of slide is stamped 3-945 which I believe dates vise to 1940. Vise is approx. 15" long closed. And weights approx. 38 Lbs. Jaws are 4" wide and open to over 6" wide. Has swivel base. Vise reads: WILTON VISE No 4 PAT PEN USA WILTON TOOL CORP. Vise is in excellent. Clean, lightly used but not abused condition! There was some old pain which I removed and checked every inch of this vise! There is nothing broken. Damaged, or repaired! No surprises. Has very little wear! Opens and closed smoothly! Jaws meet very precisely! There are some small use marks on top(it has ... morebeen used)stated for clarity)and one small flea bite on the corner of jaw(see pic 7 below) Vise as it sits has little to no paint on it. It is very nice as it sits or you can paint it your prefered color. It has been fully cleaned and greased. Would make a nice addition to any shop! It is built like a tank! Vintage YORK WILTON Type Machinist Bullet Vise Swivel Base 3" Jaws
Up for auction is a rare York Wilton Bullet type vise. The vise is marked York on one side and has a patent 685893 on the other with some wording which I can not make out but some of the letter I believe are zakchem anemo but not sure(see pictures) The vise head is a approx. 3 inches wide and opens up to 3 inches. The vise does have some scrapes and some rust spots to it but is in solid working condition. It can be restored to new condition or left the way it was found. The garage gazette has some interesting comments. Where one person wrote" This bench vices started to produce in Czech republic and patent is from 1934( Mr. Dohnal) According to some people they think York was the company that actually came up with the bullet vise and that Wilton might have copied them. There are all types of speculation as to where this vise was made ... moreor came from since there is no history or information. Maybe someone out there might know something and any comment would be appreciated. This vise is being sold in as found condition to the highest bidder who would truly admire the history behind it and true craftsmanship of these bullet vises. Please read policy.
