RESTORED Vintage 1944 Reed 203 1/2 Swivel Bench Vise 37 Pounds Made in USA vice
This is an excellent old vise made by Reed in Eerie PA. One of the world's all-time best vise manufacturers. It's in beautiful shape with exquisite action that will make your eyebrows lift with surprise when you first give it a spin. Worlds apart from any of the foreign stuff you see for sale in stores today. It's lasted a long time so far and is built to never wear out. I've had this vise completely apart. Totally cleaned and media blasted to give it a fine inspection. It is in excellent shape with only superficial scuffing as you would expect from any tool. Mechanically and structurally this vise is outstanding. In the last, totally stripped down photo can see there is no damage and that it's never been repaired. It has been repainted and a baked on enamel paint was applied in the color of Italian Olive. The first photo ... moreis the closest color representation. Vintage / Antique Wilton 21 inch? Bullet Bench Vise Without Swivel Base
Up for auction is an estate fresh find. this is a large old Wilton bullet vice. closed it measures approximately 21 inches. My scale only goes to 50 pounds and is incapable of weighing it but it is quite heavy. it is very old and shows the standard wear and tear of an old well used tool. It does appear to have a broken pin however as I cannot open the vice at all to measure the total jaw length. a little oil& a little work and probably a simple fix for somebody who knows what they're doing. sold as is. potentially a great item for any shop or garage or a great item for a themed restaurant or other such venue. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. The jaws are 3 ½” across and open approx. 6 ½” The pipe jaws are replaceable but these are in very good condition. It weighs in at 40 pounds and is in very good condition. Vintage Wilton Mechanics Swivel Bench Vise #1750 5" Jaw width Heavy Duty USA
This is a nice Wilton 1750 vise with a 5" jaw width and swivel. When I got it the jaws were in bad shape. At some point. The bolts holding the jaws on had loosened, but the user continued to use the vise which caused the bolts to break off inside the holes. I have removed all of the old, broken bolts. A new set of replacement jaws and perhaps some new paint is all that would be required to restore this to new condition. The replacement jaws and bolts are available for around $25 online. I will include aftermarket aluminum jaws. These were originally held to the vise with magnets, which have now been crushed, so they just rest on the jaw faces. The pipe jaws on this vise are slightly different than I have seen on other versions of this vise. But perhaps this is an earlier design. EARLY C. PARKER NO. 44 SWIVEL BENCH VISE 5" JAWS. The jaws close tightly. The only thing wrong with it is shown in the last 2 pictures. Part of the end on one side of the"keeper" is broken off. This does not affect the operation of the vise at all. The"keeper" as I call it keeps the handle and screw in place when you are opening the jaws up. Since it only comes into play when opening the jaws there is no real force on it. The rest of the keeper is fine so it is only the end of one side. Vintage Wilton 1750 Tradesman Bench Vise with Swivel Base Mechanics Heavy Duty Tool Vtg Made in USA* You are bidding on the Vintage Wilton#1750 Vise pictured. It is marked" 1750" on one side. This was a model made by Wilton. Even though the Wilton label has long since worn off. This item is used, but functions properly. It has some normal use wear, mostly on the top areas of the vise grips(see Pictures) I am not sure how old it is. It belonged to my father. It could use a little cleaning as it has sat on my father's workbench for many many years. The vise is very heavy, weighing about 45 pounds on my scale(my scale has been wrong before, so give or take a couple pounds) The vise jaws open up to about 6 inches(see Picture#10) and the jaws themselves are about 5 inches wide. It also seems to have what I think are pipe jaws below(see ... morePictures#8 and#9) The swivel works great and turns without any problems. The handle/ bar to open and close the vise also turns smoothly without any issues. I am not an expert on these items, so I tried to describe this item as best as possible. 8" Logan Shaper Swivel Vise This Swivel Vise for an 8" Logan Shaper is in very good condition. It has 5" wide jaws that are 1-5/8" deep and the vise opens to approximately 5" There are no cracks or tool marks. There are some chip impressions in the jaw inserts and on the bed of the vise near the fixed jaw which is typical for a used cast iron(not hardened) vise. I do not have a handle for the vise. I bought it to see if it could be adapted to a smaller 7" shaper that I have and decided to go another route. This will ship in a USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box with insurance.
