It is 14" long, 9" high, and 7 1/2 wide at the base. The base has 3 mounting holes, 5/8" in diameter. The actual swivel part of the base is 5 1/2 in diameter. The swivel base locks with a clamp. The vise clamps are 4 3/4 wide. This is approximately 40 lbs boxed.

Nice old Columbian swivel bench vise. Made in Cleveland. Ohio. Original red-paint surface. Model# D 43 1/2 When closed. The vise is 10 1/2" long x 5 3/4" high. Jaws are 3 1/2" wide and close nice and tight. The beam is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" Swivel base is approximately 4 1/2" diameter. With(3) 1/2" mounting holes. Handle is 6" long. Swivel lock handle is 3 3/8" long and has a slight after-market bend. Barely noticeable. The vise has no rust. But has some use-wear, some paint loss, scratches and some shallow nicks. Up for sale is a refurbished Wilton 1644 Mechanics medium duty bench vise. The vise was prepped and shot with a new coat of Wilton hammer tone blue paint and all of the bare steel parts were cleaned and polished. The jaw insert hardware was really chewed up so i turned down some replacement screws so they are exactly like the originals. The vise has 4" jaws with a throat depth of 3 ⅜" The max opening is 5 ½" but that could be stretched another ½" if needed. The vise weighs about 27lbs and has a large. Resurfaced anvil/striking area that measures 3 ¼" x 2 ⅝"

For sale is a 3.5" jaw width Wilton mechanic's vise. If you look at the picture of the lead screw. You may be able to see that the screw is stuck at the top, so it can't be inserted into the vise. It still turns, and it may be able to be forced in, but I consider it non-functional. The vise is complete. This is one awesome and very interesting vise. Presented you'll see a 2.5" jaw Bench Top vise. What I find interesting is that although it is stamped Made In USA along the base there is no makers name. There are 2 Patent numbers on the base and a quick search of the one# 1999600 at the U.S. Patent Office website shows it was invented by A.L. Stowell and patented Apr. 30. 1935. It has a locking spring loaded 5 position turn screw to rotate and lock the vise as desired. This vise is super clean and ready to go to work in your shop or to add to your collection. Operates very quietly and smoothly. Jaws open to a maximum of 2 3/4 inches and weighs a chunky 4 lbs 10 oz. Can mount on a 2" bench top. Vintage 1946 Chicago Wilton Bullet Swivel Bench Vise 3 1/2" Jaws Made In USA
This is a very old Wilton Bullet Vise manufactured when the company was still in Chicago. Before moving to Schiller Park, IL in 1955. This particular vise was made in July of 1946. For being as old as it is this vise is in fantastic condition. I had it stripped down to bare metal and I saw no damage anywhere. A lot of these really old bullets show signs of heavy use but this one was obviously well cared for. The swivel lock-down cap nuts are original to this vintage, before they used the sliding handle clamping nuts. One steel jaw insert has been replaced and the other is original. I honestly have no idea why but the original jaw insert is still in decent condition. They line up well with parallel surfaces and clamping force is excellent. Brand new rubber finger-saver washers were installed on the handle. After stripping it down and surface ... moreprep I applied 3 coats of Hammered Finish Verde Green enamel. Each was baked on at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. This is the best system I've come up with for providing a durable finish. The color is very close to the famous Wilton color, it looks blue in the photos but it's more green in person. For some reason this paint always photographs heavy on the blue. NOTE: Admittedly the photos aren't very good. The vise looks better in person than what's showing here. I had about a ten minute break in Seattle's rain today to take them so I was rushed. If and when we get a pause in the precipitation I'll take some better photos and post them down at the bottom, below the auction text. I applied synthetic lubricant on the friction surfaces; Main screw threads. Horse-shoe retaining collar and slide key-way. It's ready to be bolted down and put to work. This vise functions great and will provide many decades of use if treated properly. By that I mean vises aren't intended to have cheater bars put on the handles or bashed with heavy sledge hammers. This is a good vintage Craftsman U.S.A. 5 1/2" swiveling bench vise with anvil. Model No. 391-5181. Good usable vise with no cracks. Welds or other signs of damage or repair. It needs a replacement set of jaw pads, easily purchased here on eBay. One jaw pad is missing. This is a good. Strong American made vise. It is just the right size for a medium duty home shop vise. These old American vises are much better quality than the Asian imports you can buy at the big box home improvement stores. Made from high quality American steel pre-1970. This vise works properly. Opens and closes smoothly. Swivels properly. Very good vise for your shop. Buy American and you can hand it down to your grandkids.

VTG WILTON 5 INCH JAWS BENCH VISE PIPE SWIVEL BASE ANVIL DEGREE ANGLE COMBO WOW!
Here we have a very quality made top brand vtg WILTON machinist pipe vise in absolute gorgeous condition. Looks like T-Rex! This vise has many options/uses. The bottom base swivels in a perfect circle for any working condition or position you need. Also has a metal number plate for perfect angles and degrees. 0-90 degree. Also has a measuring unit on long weight pipe for perfect clamp width. Very neat and really none other like it. If you rotate the unit to where the bottom of T REX mouth is upward there is another type of clamp. Very cool. The teeth at bottom are screwed in and hold pipe up to 5 inches in diameter. l have looked at a bunch of vtg wilton vises and I haven't seen any other ones like this! It looks like a T-REX. Very nice piece. It has some minor surface rust on from sitting in a shop for a while. It affects absolutely ... morenothing! Very easily removable. Other than that this thing looks in stunning condition and very rarely used-never used. The teeth on the jaws have a tiny surface rust but the teeth look never used with full life left. It never has been bolted to a bench! You can see at the bottom of base were it would have been bolted. Very well preserved. Possibly never used. Please look at all pics enlarged for full view and detail for all measurements. This item has to weigh over 50 pounds. Very heavy duty made to last forever! If questions please feel free.
