Lot of parallel clamps wood screws. 5 are 808 R Bliss Mfg Co Pawtucket R.I. 14"
So this lot has 4 smaller clamp pieces and one screw. Clamps are 10" in length, they are marked FC. The other part of this lot is the 7 14" clamp pieces. 5 of the clamps on the rt of the group. The lighter ones, are marked 808, of those 3 are marked with R Bliss MFG Co Pawtucket R.I. the other two are not marked with the maker, but have the same shape size and 808 on them plus a roman II V on them. don't know what that means. Did not find any info on the 808 markings either. The Bliss company started in 1874 and ended in 1935. Had a very precise way of cutting high quality wood screws. Of the larger clamps the screw rods are rough. Missing sections, one is cracked, all are warped. including the pieces too that are seen in the photos. They all tell a story. I played around with the clamps and the one pair with no markings is ... morethe ones that two of the screw shafts fitted in. The bliss ones would take them but only for a inch or so before they would start to bind up. Not sure if the is damage in the threads or they just don't fit them exactly.

The clamps measure 5 inches length from end to end. 11/16th wide and 11/16th tall for each individual clamp. The 4 screw mechanisms seem to vary a little in length- 5 1/2 inches to 5 7/8 inches. Both clamps have initials scratched into the surface. These clamps have a few dings along the edges. Cosmetic dings and scratches along the body of the clamp. All 4 screws turn nicely. I have received 2 kidneys. I usually do not sell new merchandise. Everything I sell is found at auctions. Flea markets, garage sales and antique stores(not too often) so the condition of this is used. No ID or markings to be found- toolmaker made. Quality steel, jaws sizes: 4 x 10/16 x 5/8 with a depth of 1 7/8 and open width of 2 1/4- wt of one 13.7 oz. Wt of both 26.9 oz- were found with no rust. But were dirty; cleaned to see if there was an ID; could stand further cleaning/polishing- nuts on both working very well CONDITION: USE or COLLECT LOO K at the pictures and make your own judgement as to condition.
