51" X 39" X 2" Thick Cast Iron Surface Plate "Webbed" CNC MILLING TABLE /BASE
This auction is for a used 39" wide by 51" long by 2"+ thick"webbed"cast iron surface plate sold exactly as shown in these pictures It would make a good heavy duty base(or if your thinking really big and heavy duty. Even the X-Y table) for a custom CNC milling machine. Someone has asked how thick the top is between the webs; Overall thickness at edge is 2.164" at the corner where I cleaned off the rust in picture#4) the depth on the backside. Measured with straight edge between two webs is about 1-9/16" so thickness of top is about 1/2"+ to 9/16" + between the webs. It is rusty but solid without any cracks. Etc(it rings true like a bell) It has a rabbited outside edge around it's top face that is about 3/4" wide and near one tenth of an inch deep(see pics#3 and 4) I tried cleaning up a ... moresmall corner of the front face and once I removed the rust it showed very little pitting(see pic#4) Clean it up yourself and use it as is or have it blanchard ground to give it a"new" surface This cast iron surface plate is very heavy! Variable speed electric control + high& low range gearbox. There are raise, lower and stop controls on the front of the rotary table base. The raise& lower buttons change direction of the table rotation. A reversing switch on the control can also changes direction of rotation for left or right hand threading. There is an adjustable position automatic stop switch for end of travel. Just need to add your own thread pitch bushings and your ready to start machining. This has been sitting on the shelf for several years so the buyer should probably relubricate all moving parts but is fairly clean as is. Vintage Milling Clamp and Spiral Step 3/4 Stud machine table mill tooling finger
As close as I can figure. This looks to be a clamping devise with an attached spiral step"block" Looks like it would work with up to a 3/4" stud. Some surface rust as shown, But I ran a wire brush over it lightly this morning and it looks like it would clean up pretty good. See nothing that would affect it's function.
