I put this on a Reid grinder and tried it out. It now has a thumb nail size nick in it. I am not a machinist. So I offer this nearly New. 6-1/4” Diameter Round Magnetic Chuck and Extra Plate Used
You are bidding on a used approximately 6-1/4” Diameter Round Magnetic Chuck with an Extra Plate. This turns on and off manually with an allen wrench. I do not have wrench included in this listing. I have turned it on and off and the magnetism still works. There is a number on the side of the chuck of 7285 BM-63101. The height of the chuck from the base of the chuck to the top plate is approximately 3 inches. The top is made of some type of steel with what looks like brass in between for the bars. It feels like the top needs to be dressed up. It may need to be put on your surface grinder and trued up or on your lathe and trued up. It does have some tapped holes in the back of it to mount. The bottom of the chuck is not magnetic. It appears that the bottom is made out of aluminum. Not sure. Please note that a few of the brass bars are sticking ... moreup a little bit. It would be nice to dress it off on the surface grinder. I am also including another plate that I have with it. This plate does not bolt on this chuck. It looks like a steel plate that is used on a magnetic chuck. However the bolt holes do not line up to the chuck itself but it could be modified to use on the chuck or used for some other feature. The outside dimension of the plate is approximately 6-9/16ths in diameter. This would make a nice chuck for your lathe or surface grinder. This item is sold as-is.
