Adjusts from zero degrees up to 90 degrees vertical. Has graduated scale on side for precise angle drilling. Bolts on side plates tighten for quick. Secure locking. Angle hinge is graduated from 0º to 90º. Replaceable steel jaw plates. Fixed jaw plate is grooved horizontally and vertically for holding round stock. Lugs in vise base for mounting to machine table. Vise is not marked. But some Craftsman models originally had a vinyl sticker that may have been removed or has fallen off from age. This vise dates to the early 1960's. It had only light surface rust which I have cleaned off. No pitting but there are a couple of dark spots in the metal. The vise measures 6 1/8" long and 2 1/2" wide. The jaws are 2 1/2" wide and it opens up to 2 9/16" Comes in it's original box with paperwork. I had to put a new piece of tape around the box to keep it together and the paperwork looks like something was munching on it. The paperwork still has some readable parts left. Offered for purchase ONE Old Palmgren Machinist Drill Press Vise. Measuring 6 1/8" long. The jaws are 2 7/16" wide, 1 3/4" high, and this weighs 5 lbs 5 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some paint on the painted area of the body. The front or fixed jaw is missing the jaw face and screws, but if you know a good machinist, I'm sure he could whip one up real easy like. The face on the moveable jaw has a bit of a ding on the top as does the jaw itself. The jaw face is clean. All the screws work and were oiled. Old Palmgren 1 1/2 Inch Machinist Drill Press Vise Good Shape Quality Tool
Offered for purchase ONE Old Palmgren 1 1/2 Inch Machinist Drill Press Vise. The base is 4 1/4" long. The jaws are 1 1/2" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 11 1/4 oz unboxed. This is in used but good shape and was cleaned. There is a little patina but nothing too bad. The jaw faces are good and the screws that hold them in place do turn but I didn't have them completely off. The screw that keeps the jaw adjustment screw in the moveable jaw is a replacement as the original was MIA. That isn't the prettiest but it's a funny thread size and well that was all they had at the hardware store. The jaw screw works and the jaw moves smoothly. This ain't minty and it sure ain't got that kind of price either. A quality machinist's vise for sure! The full size picture is at the bottom of the listing page.
