Here is a re-purposed winch that was used to lift roofing materials from ground to roof. I put it together to pull logs out of the woods to eliminate ground damage. Could be used to pull docks out of the river in winter. Take it hunting and pull your deer up that steep mountain in no time. Pull logs out of the woods to eliminate carrying small pieces all day. Motor is a 8 to 10hp Honda look alike off of a generator. Motor runs good. Has about 100 foot of cable on the spool. I used it a little and it really pulls. It has a hand clutch and a good rope brake. Has air tires for easy pulling and it has a handle to steer with. $300.00

Large Recovery Winch, Small gas engine powered
Winch bought at Surplus Sale. Adapted a small gasoline engine to it to recover a upside down vehicle off in a Georgia Ravine, mounted on a small narrow trailer, the motor starts easily, I changed the gearing hoping for more line speed, but need to put the 50 tooth lower sprocket onto it. THIS winch unit was originally either Hydraulic motor or clutch PTO driven on the big truck it came off of originally. Motor is a small"briggs" I had on a tiller(cranks and runs well) Using a home made belt clutch that seems to work well. Bare Winch alone at Surplus Sales was $1000. Has cable on it with hook. When it had the larger sprocket on it I swear it would have moved my house. THIS Is a project. Great for mounting on a vehicle trailer for loading, or for recovering vehicles. I went through several electric winches on my car hauler trailer ... moreat one time, they are not designed to make extreme pulls. I have a low feedback. But this is the 3rd time I have returned to ebay, you can search out this winch in operation on youtube under my user name ibewgypsie. I build and fabricate things for my own use and sometimes to sell to others. I have been mowing around this winch all summer, not used it but once. I used to buy hotrods in fields and have to drag them out with a 4wd. I think I have bought and resold all the ones in my area now thou. IF you just want the winch and need it shipped I can zip it off the small trailer in five minutes. OTHERWISE you must pick it up, or truck ship it. To truck ship I probably will have to remove all fluids, tires and strap it to a pallet then hire someone to haul it to a terminal. Maybe extra charges involved.
