It has a 5 Ton capacity and an electric motor by Dayton. The cable is 3/8" diameter although it was never stretched out to see what kind of length it has. This winch has been tested and runs good. The motor is a Dayton 1 HP motor with 1725 RPM. The model is 6K674F. It works on a standard 110 V Plug. The Drum is 8" wide and approximately 3 1/2" Deep but its hard to tell without having to spool all of the cable off the drum. It has a forward and reverse lever and brake on it. HUGE Military Winch Heavy Duty 6X6 5 Ton Deuce Wrecker Tow Truck Crane Logging
Here is a very heavy duty mechanical winch. This is a military winch probably from a military wrecker. I had this on a boom truck and bought a crane. So I scrapped the old truck out. This winch works great and served me well. I don't know about capacity but I would guess 25 tons plus would not be overstating it. There is approximately 150-200 feet of cable on it which I replaced with new about 5 years ago. There is a sproket on the input shaft and I had it driven thru the PTO from the transmission. It has a lever to allow you to free wheel the winch to manually pull the cable off. I can load it on your truck or trailer for free or if you need it shipped I can band it to a pallet and deliver it to a depot for extra cost. If you pay for it, it would be OK to leave it here for a while until you have time to come and get it. Beebe 5 ton manual 2 speed industrial winch with hand brake and includes the crank handle. Inside of spool measures 12 inches across and the diameter is 12 inches. This winch operates well and does not seem to have been used very much. All the grease fitings accepted grease easily and the bearing/ bushings show very little play. It appears like the A shaped stay bracket on the tail end of the spool is slightly bent but it does not affect how it operates. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states.
